Scored another 50% off Safari Ltd. Dragon!

Thisnone needs a complete repaint but the sculpt is pretty nice.

While not technically a dragon, this Safari Ltd. Kaprosuchus sure fits in nicely with all of my other dragons as a flightless species. It doesn't even need to be repainted as it looks great already.

I hit up Zapp! Comics today for their Halloween Comicfest. While there, I scored this sweet McFarlane Dragons deluxe dragon. His metal footpegs are damaged and need to be replaced but his tail is keeping him upright for now.

After Zapp! I hit an out of the way Micheals and scored a dragon (actually a Wyrrven as it only has 2 legs and wings) I had never seen before using another 50% off coupon :)

You are sure on a dragon kick now.

That I am. I had passed on tons of cool dragons over the 30+ years I have been customizing as I only did sci-fi projects but now that I have added fantasy concepts with my Tolkien III world, I am playing catch up :)

There are still a few more dragons I want to get before I feel I will have enough to populate any future Tolkien III projects but I will get them as the opportunities present themselves.

Not a lot of new purchases lately as I spent quite a bit at Comic Con. Also trying to save money now with Christmas coming up, but I did pick this up the other day. Its a blu-ray set of the Boston Red Sox 2013 Collectors Edition. It comes with the clinching Game 6 victory of the American League Championship Series, as well as all 6 games of the World Series, with a bonus disc included. I saw this in store for $75, but it was on sale for $50.  I remember watching this on Amazon, so I rechecked there and it was at $20!  They had about 6 left so naturally I jumped on it.

I now have this set to go along with the 2004 and 2007 Collectors Edition sets.

Tonight at Michaels, I found this awesome Safari Ltd. Toob full of miniature versions of 6 of their full sized dragons. I snagged it with a 50% off coupon so it only cost $5.34 after tax.

They have done Toobz of dragons before, but they have always been "chunky" (soft sculpting and wings as thick as those on their full sized counterparts) so I never picked them up before. These, however, are much improved sculpting wise and their wings' thickness is in proportion to their bodies.

The Toob contains miniature versions of the Forest, Cloud, Mountain, Ice, Golden and Chinese Dragons.

I plan on repainting them and using them as juvenile dragons. I might get a few more sets as I get more 50% off coupons.

Here are pics of the new miniature dragons with their full sized counterparts.

Top to bottom:

Forest
Cloud
Mountain
Ice

I do not own the full sized versions of the Golden or Chinese Dragons as I am not fond of their designs.
