Thanks to my recently selling some of my comics, I got a big box of Schleich awesomeness from www.happyhentoys.com (after doing grown up stuff with the money like paying rent and bills ;)  )!

"Eldrador" Griffon w/Warrior - this griffon looks like it is the offspring of their earlier "Knights" armored griffon.

"Eldrador" Dragon w/Warrior - this dragon looks like it is the offspring of their earlier "Knights" armored dragon.

More "Eldrador" knights' factions flags for my 2 giant castles.

"Eldrador" Dragon Diver

"Wild Life" Fern - can plug into holes in the Cave, Waterfall, and River dioramas.

"Wild Life" Waterfall diorama.

The Waterfall came with this flamingo figurine.

"Wild Life" River diorama.

The Waterfall and River dioramas can connect in 2 different configurations.

And can even connect to the older Cave diorama for a larger display!

Schleich is so smart with their stuff. That water stuff looks real.

The water effect is very creatively done- there is an opaque plastic sheet with the riverbed details printed on it that attaches to the tan base. A hard clear  plastic piece that is textured like water is then placed over it and the tan river bank pieces go on the sides to anchor the 2 river pieces. Gives it a nice 3D effect that looks like you are looking into a fairly deep fast moving river despite being less than 1/4" thick.

I have been wanting a "World Of Nintendo" Metroid for a long time but gave up due to the stupid prices they fetch on ebay always resulting in bare shelves and today I lucked into not 1 but 2! I grabbed them both :) !

TRU has all of their Schleich items on clearance. I snagged all of their Hay and Straw bundles for $1.99 each! I might hit up some more TRUs for more.

I hit up the 2 TRUs in Paramus (Rts 4 + 17) after work and scored more Schleich cleance goodies!

The Rt 17 TRU had 5 more of the "Eldrador" set but I will wait for them to be clearanced lower before getting the rest.

The dungeon creatures are small but really nicely detailed. The paint on the bug and dragon is not as complex as the paint on the lizard, but I can rectify that :)

Here you can see that the Hay and Straw bundles act as "supplies" inside my castle walls. Eventually they will be split between the 2 castles when the second one eventually gets set up again.

Picked up a PVC Inspector Gadget figure off ebay. Already had this but it was rather old and missing the blades on the copter. Nice to get a new and complete one. Maybe I'll paint the old one gray so he has the right color trenchcoat.

My awesome wife bought me a 2013 SDCC exclusive "Heroclix" Shuma-Gorath today at Time Warp Comics And Games!

I have wanted one of these for 3 years and I FINALLY have one!

This figurine is awesome and fits in nicely with my other eldrich creatures. There is a hidden ball on it's backside where the tentacles come together that articulates the eye, allowing it to look in any direction!

Picked up these Mario Bros. S.H. Figuarts today. They are nicely sculpted and detailed figures, great articulation as well. They have quite a few others I'd like to get. With the accessories given and lack of space at the moment I'll be keeping these boxed for the time being.

My awesome wife picked up these cool animal skeletons for me today at a local dollar store!

They are above usual dollar store quality and the anatomy aside from the vertebrae on the horse's neck is pretty good, much better than many of the animal and dino skeletons you usually see in dollar stores.

I really like the ape skull, hopefully I can find more of these sets in the future.

This is interesting as it also shows a snake model on the bottom left corner. I am guessing that there might be other sets available with different models. There is a website on the back of the packaging ( www.oceandesertsales.com. ) which I am going to check out and see if there are other sets pictured.

Note the funky vertebrae on the horses in the middle row.

With 3.75" figure for scale.

The ape skulls are worth the cost of the entire set alone.

I went back to the $1 store my wife got the skeletal animals for me from and bought the last 3 packs they had.

I lucked out and 1 of the 3 sets was the set with 3 different skeletons than I had already gotten. What I initially thought to be a gator based on the pic I found online turned out to be some form of prehistoric whale (this is the weakest of the models, detail wise).

The snake looks less like a skeletal snake and more like some kind of segmented armored alien snake. I will be removing the skull and adding a different head to make it an alien snake in a diorama. The skull will be used as well in a different diorama.

The parrot is the best of the 3. The sculpting is really well done and this one does the best job (along with the snake) of hiding the hole where the plastic was injected into the mold. The other models have the injection hole in the center of their ribcages ruining the detail there but the parrot has it on the bottom of its perch.

I eventually hope to score some more of these sets.
