That feathered T-Rex is really awesome looking. It would love to see what they looked like in real life. We need a real life Jurassic World. Well maybe not, but yeah I would still probably go.

It is huge as well. 13" long and extremely heavy as it is solid vinyl.

I am glad that companies like Safari Ltd. and Schleich are adding feathers to their dinosaur miniatures where appropriate. Toys have been lagging far behind the actual science for over a decade or more, favoring the old slow cold blooded reptiles approach to dinosaurs.

Finally got my hands on Issue #1 of Nintendo Power. This was from July/August of 1988. I grew up with Nintendo Power showing up to my home every month, and was sad to see the magazine discontinued. I did get rid of the issues, not having a need for them. I wanted to keep the "big" issues however. I kept issues 100, 200 and the final one. I'm just glad I was able to find issue #1 at a reasonable price and good condition.

Another day of hunting my 3 local Wal-Marts for the "Kong: Skull Island" line with no luck.

I did, however, spot this cool figure out of the corner of my eye:

I am not a "Power Rangers" fan, but the new movie's very organic rendition of comic relief robot Alpha 5 makes for a great weird looking alien for my diorama. I will remove the head and find a cooler one from my heads box and then give it a full repaint.

This is not my listing, nor is it something I have picked up yet.  Been eyeing it, I think it would be a nice addition to a 3.75 orc/goblin collection.  Still eyeing it, but someone else may enjoy it more than me:

There is also a 6 inch version of the same figure as well.

Still no luck on the "Kong" front, but I did get 2 great packages in the mail today:

I had been waiting for this Marauder Gun-Runners steady cam gun gear since the prototypes were shown last year.

From Hasbro Toy Shop, I ordered Falcon and Starlord who were 50% off (ordered Starlord just to hit the free shipping amount) and this Groot/Rocket Racoon Comic Pack. I have been wanting a good Groot for quite awhile now. This version has the white trim on his uniform from the "Annihilation" miniseries, but I will repaint the trim in the more traditional red as that is how I prefer the Guardians' uniforms to look.

Been waffling due to the size, but I picked up the massive Ultimate Batcave for $57.50 shipped.  They are on clearance at WM for $50ish, so get them while you can!

It is huge to 6 inch figs and will make an epicly large Death Star Playset to 3.75 figures.  This is the kind of thing that could go for $300 in a few years, so you might as well get two.

Also picked up the Avengers Quinjet for the 3.75 line from the first Avengers movie for $18.50 shipped locally.  It seems pretty cool, and passes the minimum 2 figures rule that I have instituted for all future vehicles.  One figure vehicles are just lame.

My 3YO is still happily playing with the 2.5 inch Galactic Heroes and equivalent lines (saving the 3.75 for later), so I got him the Captain America and Iron Man levels of the Avengers 2 HQ sets for $12 each (can't find the Hulkbuster level at a good price locally).  As he is already getting a TMNT Sewer set soon, I'll keep the Avengers stuff as a side gift for his sisters BD.

Still no "Kong: Skull Island" toys, but I did get some INSANE clearance score from Wal-Mart in Saddle Brook!

Wow, I am on the fence about picking up the AT-DP Driver version of these speeders. Man, they sure weren't at the prices you are finding. Wow!

Another day without finding the "Kong: Skull Island" line, but I did score more great clearance items from Wal-Mart!

The Marvel and Star Wars items were $5 each (down from $20) and the massive Batcave was $25 (down from $99)!

Finally picked up a David Ortiz Red Sox figure last night, only $14.99. With how important he was to the team for the past 14 years, and his number already being retired this season, I wanted to grab him before he would be hard to find. One of the best players in team history, I still can't believe he is retiring.

Also picked up The Complete Series of Tour of Duty, a show about the Vietnam War. I remember watching this after coming home from high school.

Lastly, not a purchase but one of my good friends gave me an Ed vinyl figure from Shaun of the Dead. I was sick the past 2 weeks, first with a small head cold then getting a stomach bug. I'm better now. He was nice enough to get this for me when he heard I wasn't feeling great.

I too remember liking that Tour of Duty Series. I have started up a library on Vudu for some of those types of things. And I am out of space to store dvds, vcr tapes, etc.
