Those mini plastic containers are really great.  MANY uses overall.

I scored another of those Schleich fences that I picked up a few months back for $.78 each, but this one was only $.03!

Belated Thursday Mail Call!

I ordered this Lontic/Tedco Dinosaur set back in October but it was on backorder until 1/2/18. It arrived on Thursday but I was unable to retrieve it until today do to the weather and crappy local road conditions.

I LOVE the feathered dino in this set! Four of the dinos are duplicates from other sets. The Spinosaur, Dilophosaur, Raptor, T-Rex and Triceratops are high quality knock-offs of old Hasbro "Jurassic Park III" molds. The 2 small carnivorous dinos are pretty cool- they have prey in their jaws (one has a tiny dino and the other has a severed dino leg).

There is still one more set of Lontic/Tedco dinosaurs that I do not have as they were out of stock when I wanted to order them. They are supposed to be restocked sometime in the next 60 days so I will order them in the spring. Then I will have all but 1 dino that they have produced, sadly the missing dino is an Anklyosaurus- my all time favorite dinosaur.

These are some cool parts! I used to play hours and hours with Playmobil when I was a kid!
But how in the universe did you score these fancy Schleich fences for 78 cents or even 3 cents?!  :o

I just get very lucky when it comes to clearance scores. Especially at TRU as the ones near me are very bad at removing discontinued items from their shelves.

Wow, congratulations! The discounts at retail (and online) are sometimes insane in the U.S. - I mean 3 cents are more a sympolic price just to get it off the shelves...it's actually given away.
Nice scores! Do you have any plans with the Playmobil plants? Do you work a lot with Playmobil and how is the general availabilty of Playmobil in your area? And is it popular in the USA?
I remember when I was in NY, MI or FL it was only available at Toys "R" Us most of the times.

I honestly had no idea that they were Playmobile plants, I just picked them because plants in general are hard to find in 1/18 scale. I usually do not work with Playmobile due to their rather high prices, but I have on occasion scored some cheap Egyptian sets that I plan to use for diorama parts in the future.

Yes, your latest package contained 4 parts from Playmobil as well. And I absolutely agree with you:

Suitable plants for 1/18 scale are quite hard to find, but if you look long enough, you'll find some. Fortunately I have some nice stores selling artificial plants here in Germany! And you'll find some on eBay from various Chinese sellers. (My advice: Compare the prices for each kind carefully before purchasing). Have you already seen my entry to that?

Shipping for those plants from Asia is quite cheap or even FREE! But I can also send you some plants from my local stores if you want depending on what you need! :)

And yes, it's sad that Playmobil is quite expensive in the U.S. compared to Germany. That's probably due to high shipping costs to export them...Playmobil only produces on Malta and is my favourite toy brand! Playmobil is cheap here and almost constantly on sale in stores.
Check out the prices on some German websites ;)

I just perused your post on the plants, very good stuff there! In the spring when I have some available "fun money" I might have to order some of those :)

I have had some luck finding plastic fish tank plants at one of my local dollar stores. I cleaned them out of their remaining stock a few months back. The fish tank plants are long vine like constructions but can be trimmed down to use in small sections quite easily. I also got some funky blue and purple plants which work beautifully for alien environments like Felucia.

I just added a link to ebay.de:

Crazy! Talking about Felucia: I just received a big package of plants I ordered about a month ago. It takes up to 5 weeks for them to arrive. Shippping was free so that's totally okay!
Do you want me to post a pic of them here?
