I picked up these Geoworld "Ice Age Excavation Kit" sets last night at TJMaxx! My wife and I were so tired when we got home last night that I did not photograph or open them (these pics were taken in the store).
These were a pretty cool surprise as you almost never see ice age creatures represented in sets like these, it is almost always dinosaurs. Ice age creatures are very unique looking and should get more exposure as they are just as interesting as the dinosaurs are. To the best of my knowledge, I have never had one of these excavation kits. I don't recall them being a thing when I was a kid. I am debating doing it the way it was intended to be done with the hammer and chisel or using science and just dissolving the "stone" (compressed sand) in water to free the parts.
