Today's after work Gamestop (Marvel) clearance and DII close out (Lightyear) scores!

The retro Marvel figure cost me $.62 after the extra 30% off of the clearance price and my rewards!

The Lightyear robot was $5.99 at the close out store!

Today's Dollar Tree (packaged dino) and thrift store (everything else) scores!

The dino was $5 in the new "Dollar Tree Plus" section. This is a knock-off of one of the only Chap Mei dinos that I didn't have. I have seen this same one at places like TJMaxx and Marshalls last Holiday season, but they were $7 and there was a huge open seam between the piece that makes up the front of the dino's head and the rest of the head so I always passed on them. This one has a very small gap between the pieces and was $2 cheaper so I grabbed it.

The Godzilla is a Bandai figure from 2009.

The bag of assorted animals is mostly kiddie stuff that I had no interest in, but there was enough in it that I could use (2nd pic) to justify the price. There was 1 item in particular (3rd pic) that made me notice the bag in the first place. The remainder of the items will go to my chiropractor for the kids' table in his office on Tuesday.

Today's thrift store score!

The 2 headed Cobra is an old Chap Mei creature that it is nice to have an extra of now.

The clear blue Tamashii Nations Godzilla is an event exclusive figure that regularly goes for at least $160 and I paid $8.50 for it!

I got my 1:1 scaled Chachapoyan fertility idol, with a base. I gave my 1/2 scaled one to my brother. Set up a treasure display made with  nesting crates from Home Depot.  The crates are all different sizes, so trying to make a shelf was like a some kind of puzzle. I can always expand out, add more crates. I ordered some East India Company logo stencils from the UK, to spray on the crates.

Love this setup! Looks like treasures a pirate would take and keep for harder times. I have this glass skull, too! All your pieces on display look very unique and fun to look at. This project is just fun to follow.
Thanks for sharing an update & congrats to the latest acquisition!

Picked up these multicolored foil flakes in the Dollar Tree+ section of Dollar Tree this morning while out running errands.

I will be putting them into small transparent containers and using then for magical ingredients or exotic elements in future dioramas.

Thank you! The Skull is actually a bottle of Crystal Head Vodka. I'm not a Vodka drinker so I'll keep it sealed until someone twists my arm to open it.  It kind of looks like a crystal skull. There is an actual crystal skull ledgend, that these skulls were spread around the world and when they're brought together, it begins a new age.
I ordered a few more things. Goonies treasure map and Black Sails screen used coins.

Thanks! I have at least 2 chests. One I use as a coffee table, the other small one I use as a candy dish. All I really need is a sword and a pistol to hang on the walls. That and get some artificial tropical plants. That's it, then I can work on the patio.

Love it! The halo of the lamp at the ceiling and the wall creates a magic atmosphere. Every single item in your room adds to a fantastic ambience. Awesome project!

I got screen used coins, and he thew in some gems from the STARZ show Black Sails. Which is a prequel of Treasure Island. Theyre just cheap plastic props. All but one coin are 1873 eagle gold dollars. The other looks like a spanish gold Doubloon, but only cast on one side. Then 6 gems, fake diamonds, rubies and I'm guessing a sapphire. I have digital COAs for them.  Theyre mostly from episode 203, 210, 302, 303. I'm guessing the jewels are from the Urca De Lima score after they traded the gold for more portable jewels. That was near the end of the series. When they tried to exchange the jewels to Woodes Rogers for Maddie. I think thats the only time you actually see the jewels.

Yeah I'm sure they just went on Amazon or something and just bought up cases of plastic coins. There are some metal ones used in production. I only payed $7 each plus free jewels. Just some cool memorabilia from the show.  POTC screen used coins are outrageous, and they aren't really that rare. I don't really care for the movies either.

Today's thrift shop scores!

The dragons were $8.50.

The Dinos were $12.

The "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" sewer playset was $4.99 (I want to modify it into a multi-level dungeon diorama).

The 2 Schleich Carnotaurus figures in the top row are worth almost twice what I paid for the entire haul!
