Thanks Tamer! I'm gonna try to work on these this weekend a little. I'll keep them as up-to-date as I can.

Ball joints were all purchased from ISY sponsor The Big Bad Toy Store.

Those ball pegs are an awesome product!
I've never seen them on BBTS.  Do you have the specific link page?

Nice upgrade DarthSinister.

Those ball joints are pretty handy, but BBTS makes it really hard to find them. It also looks like they've reduced their stock a little. I would assume because no one buys them cause they can't find them.

They have them listed under scratch building and customizing but here is a link:  http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/search.aspx?search=customizing&page=1

Also do a google search for the company that produces them which is HOBBY BASE BALL JOINTS and you can click around on the pics and possibly find another supplier since BBTS is reducing their stock. Here's another link:    https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&site=imghp&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1366&bih=609&q=hobby+base+ball+joint&oq=hobby+base&gs_l=img.1.1.0i24l10.2306.6219.0.9209.10.10.0.0.0.0.159.1237.0j10.10.0....0...1ac.1.42.img..0.10.1211.80_aEEWN9Fs#imgdii=_

I dig your customs and hope you can find a decent supplier on these so I can see more scratch figures from you. Keep up the great work!!!!

A quick update on some of my customs.

I've finished the heads for two of my WIPs. They're done in Sculpey and will be molded and cast in plastic resin in a flesh color. No sculpting or painting has been done yet.

I'm sure a few of you figured out I'm finally doing some MARVEL characters. I'll be putting my own spin on them though. This is how I feel they could translate to today's audience... Sinister style.

Hope you all dig em'.

Love yours too.
These are masterful sculpts.

Thanks for all those links.   I'll shop around and find the best price for the double ball joints.  BBTS has the best price, but as you warned, "Currently Out of Stock" is a recurring theme.  There are dozens of sellers on Amazon based in Asia, but the prices are not outrageous.   I'm not in a hurry, but I am very intrigued.

Thanks Sjefke, I'm constantly trying to improve my head sculpts.

I've bought figures from China sellers and had no problem. I hope that helps a little. I started off with a small test run order and it was perfectly fine.

Thanks Sidious, I had to put them on hold though for the contest. I was hard at work on my entry all month.

And here is my entry for the EU contest this month along with WIP pics! Hope you guys dig em".

Bounty Hunter SNOOVA

First up is a photo of my armor making process. Here you can see the original Fix-It Sculpt piece over the foil covered clay mannequin. It's grey in color because of the primer it's been sprayed with. Next on a clay base in an uncompleted LEGO mold frame. Next is the mold with the original still on it and a few castings in black laying around. Last is just a visual on how flexible the plastic is after curing.

This is the completed figure before assembly.

And the completed figure featuring all the accessories and different poses.

Here is a comparison with the Hasbeen offering...

Now to get back to my Space Pirates!

Wow! Now that was some effort you put into this upgraded Snoova. I loved SOTE. Your custom is hand down such an improvement over the original figure. I can't even imagine how many of these would sell if they were released like this. Just an awesome job. Look for this one on the front page.

I had that Chewie figure from back when the SotE was on the shelves in the late 90s, and it's one of my all-time favorite figures. This is a MASTERFUL update to the character! Bravo!
I have altered the action figure. Pray I don't alter it further.

Thanks Tamer. This one, where it looks fairly strait forward, was a lot of work. The armor alone took at least 4 or 5 days to complete the sculpting and then the molding process was about 3 days. I did a two part mold and cut the armor out which made it a three part. I'm really getting into the multi-part molds. They take longer, especially if you methodically make them that way, but there well worth it in the end.

I was actually thinking about selling this one on my e-bay account. The only thing that's stopping me is the fact that I used Fix-it Sculpt for some of the body add-ons. I like to get those parts as scale to the figure as possible and in the end that makes them thin and brittle. I would hate to sell something to someone that is delicate. I would usually cast those parts in plastic which makes them more durable. I may go back on a few things and sure them up and put him up for auction.

Man, thanks buddy! He actually looks ten times better in person. I wish you guys could see him in person. At this moment he is standing next to my Borga the Hutt and they look great together.
