samauri droid:

this was made with a magnaguard droid as it's base.  it has gen. grevious lower legs.  All the samauri armor is from the new iron man animated Mandarin.  Cool looking fig, but as soon as I opened the package and got the figure out the legs fell out of the hip sockets.  They apperently had somekind of "kung fu" squeeze the legs together and i'll throw my swoord action.... but it broke before I could ever figure that out.  Nice thing about the figure though was that most of the armor parts are soft rubbery plastic and molded seperate from the fig so they were easy to remove and use for this custom.   I did this to compliment my samauri mando armor but it kicked the mando I had done clear out of the water.... that mando has died and gone back to the parts bin now....

new darktrooper pics:

I updated it a bit.  I was still unhappy with that big gap between the new neck's head and shoulders.  SO....I put some black wires that came out of an old dvd player on him.  They come out of the backpack with 4 on each side, come up around the sides of the shoulders beneath each shoulder pad and rejoin at the bast of the head.

BTW if your just reading this one and you havn't gone back a few pages check out my last 3 posts... lots of stuff added all of a sudden, I'm always afraid of people missing something.

You have been busy, Devin! I really like the hat trooper and am anxious to see him done. The blond joe girl turned out nice and I love those guns. The other biker chick sounds interesting but we would prefer that our members don't post pics of action figure nudity. I like the new mods to the dark trooper. And, that samauri droid is just cool. I can see a life size version of this one being on display in a museum somewhere.

Really
Solid stuff, Spud.

Spudfett,

Blue trouser Dude, Blond hot babe, Samuri Droid, Backpack guy, Jello face, WOW you have produced some great and imaginative customs, all great fun. My favourite has to be Blond Bird, she's scare the bejees out of me if she came into my shed for a bit of hanky panky.....I'd be hiding my Star Wars stuff pronto trying to make out that I'm cool.

hey thanks for the compliments guys.  I will heed your rules and not post any naughty pics.... ::)  yall fun suckers!

no realy, I understand, that is after all why I asked before posting them.   I have been working on a tube top for the figure so once that is done I'll post some shots of her from the front.

yeah I'm pretty happy with that agent helix figure.  Did you guys know that the tiny little binoculars on the back of her belt come off?!!!?  well, they are molded seperate but glued on.  They popped off on me though while trying to remove the belt to put on her little skirt.   It's a tiny little accessory which is probably why they glued it on there!

I havn't actually attached the wires to the head of the dark trooper yet, I just posed them to get the effect to see how it'd look and what you guys thought...  I'll have to get that finished later.

I had a thought that I think you should try clint, or cast for me and let me try..
the darktrooper's head is big enough to fit a button cell battery and a LED.  If you could hollow out the head and put some clear plastic in for the eyes a red LED glow inside the head would be killer.  I may be getting a second darktrooper on e-bay just to do that....

That HAT trooper realy came out of my pain killer induced boredom this week.  I took apart an old DVD player that didn't work and that's where the parts came from for his backpack and gauntlet.

thanks for the comments and the FP guys.  I appreciate it alot.

Cool looking Samurai Droid, I thought the armor looked familiar.
It's a shame they don't sell Iron Man Animated figs around here.

We appreciate you asking before posting said pics Spudafett.  As for the front page there was no way not to add em as they were daggone nice. I do like the idea of the red light up eyes for the darktrooper. That will make some cool pics. Do us a photo tutorial if you don't mind when you get around to that, I would love to see how its done.

will do tamer will do.

a little update:
currently working on a removable armor mandalorian prototype based almost completely off of 25th gi-joe parts...

also started work on a custom group of animated clones for my "team" which will include the HAT trooper shown before, a customized ARF trooper and a few others.  One of which I've still got to convert his torso with the cobra comander parts so I will post detailed pics of that process and let you guys in on that too.

specialist clone trio:

code name U.R.A.T.

Urban Reconnaissance and Assault Task force

the team consists of three members.  One clone captain, once specialized advanced reconnaisance fighter, and one heave artillary clone trooper.

they were put together as a team during the clone wars when a particular dificult recon mission came up.  these three had never served together before but had impecable records as well as shown a tendancy to think more outside of the box than their fellow clones.  This worried some commander's that these three put together might become too independent, but most encouraged the team's uniqueness.

now meet the team:

the captain, jack...:  (ok guys, I need a good name for this clone captain, I can't think of any...)
Created as a normal infantry clone, (insert good name here) was all buisness.  He performed his duties to the utmost of his abilities.  When his original garrison was thrown into the midst of a losing battle he put his mind and body to the test.  Becoming trapped alone with clankers bearing down on him his blaster malfunctioned.  quick thinking, spare droid blasters and a handy plas-torch in his pack produced a one of a kind weopon out of his malfunctioning blaster and several damaged droid blasters.  By utilizing the droid blaster's energy pack as his new weopon's ammo source he was able to mow down the droids in his path, picking up their power packs to replinish his ammo...  eventually he fought his way out and found himself promoted....

(ok... I am not good at backstories, anyone want to embelish on my story and flesh it out a little more PLEASE do so!)

next up is Barrage,

Barrage was completing his training when his superiors noticed he took a little more pleasure in destroying his targets than most clones.  It was realized soon that Barrage (not called barrage at the time) was destined for a greater calling than regular infantry.  He loved blowing things up.  His training was switched to explosives expert and heavy artillary.  A brand new designation of clone was developed and the H.A.T. (heavy artillary trooper) project was born.  Barrage couldn't have been happier, He got to be the guiney pig for all new heavy artillary and advanced clone weoponry.  His favorite of all however was a person sheild and anti-grav device.  The built in anti-gravity repulsorlift allowed his body weight to be diminished as well as any item he carried.  This made it possible for barrage to carry even more weoponry and explosives!

Outfitted with his personal sheild and anti-grav device Barrage is able to cary two advanced prototype infantry based proton torpedo launchers, and a continuous beam weopon on a specialized gauntlet.  Voice activated controls for these weopons allow the free use of both his hands, which carry a heavy repeating blaster.  He also has a thermal detonator grenade launcher clipped to a harness which carries 6 thermal hand grenades.

he takes the term "heavy artillary" to an all new level

lol  ;D

and last but not least, the member of the team that puts reconnaissance in URAT....
Filch, the ARF trooper.

Filch (as in steal) is the best at what he does.  Trained from conception to keep low, be extremely observant and exceptionaly perceptive Filch is unsurpasable at his ability to track, locate, spy on and if need be terminate his enemy.  Filch doesn't care much for blaster's either.  Prefering to sneak up on his victims and finish them quicky and quietly with a vibro-blade he caries with him at all times.  As an ARF trooper he is equiped with a long range visual scanning device (binoculars...) as well as a range finder on his specialized helmet.  He also caries with him an advanced handheld sensor aray which can be modified to pick up transmissions, life forms, or machinery.

Filch:

ok, next post has group shots

Wow, I don't have time right now, but these dudes are front page bound. I will say only this about your figures, if Hasbro was putting out figures like this I would still be collecting them. I really like the heavy artillery trooper. Just sweet with that big ole gun.
