ok some wip updates.  I've got a joe custom I'm doing for a contest over at st6, the challenge was to take an existing pilot/driver figure and customize it into a better version of the same character.  I had an extra wild bill figure laying around and that's the fig I've tried improving... narceron doesn't like it... 

the other figure I've got that I'm working on is a Star wars Swoop-droid.  It's the same transformer I used for the BAT Cycle with the wheels removed.  I've got it almost finished and it's painted black right now but I don't know what accents to add to it.  I may just leave it black.  I also don't have a good droid head to use for the head, I hate the transformer's original head....

another figure I've still got in the works is the mandalorian communications specialist. 

and I'm finishing up a version of ahsoka tano.

i really like the shadow arc trooper. I have thought about trying that for a long time now. using the phase one clone armor arc trooper and changing the kama for one with the holsters instead of the regular or wavy kama looks better to me.
almost like the black arc troopers from the EE mando pack and giving them a kama with holsters and pistols.

this was done for a challenge over at st6.  the challenge asked us to take an existing gi-joe or cobra driver character and customize it.  no other rules. 

my version of wild bill.  I still need to find the parts to make my twin ducted fan backpack for him but for now I have him a chopper.


Wild Bill is a helicopter pilot for the joes who grew up in texas and applies his skills as not only a pilot but as a hunter/tracker to hunt down cobra....

after finishing my transformer bat I thought that the same transformer figure would look cool as a swoop.  You know those wheelless hovering bikes from star wars (just in case your a retard and don't know what I'm talking about)... 

anyway here ya go:






simply removed the wheels from the figure and painted it black... i couldn't come up with any good accents for it so I just left it black

So this is the same Knock Out from the BAT Bike a page or so back, just with the wheel-pieces removed??  IIiiiiiiiinteresting... (which is to say, "I likes it a lot and plan to steal that idea and make my own with my own special twists")

And I *love* that "slave Ahsoka"!  LOVE IT!  Ok, women in chains excite me, dirty secret.  Scantily-clad alien women in chains make me think I'm Capt. Kirk!!

I see I failed to comment on the Scarlett-Ahsoka combo...let me fix that.  Dude, that fig is almost there!  I think all it needs is arms a little thicker than Ahsoka's and you are golden.  I don't know (yet) which ones to suggest - I'll have to borrow Keera's fig and go limb-shopping in the fodder-boxes.  Probably one of the smaller figs - preggers Padme, Senator Padme, something like that.

Oh, and I think I'll have to acquire a Terminator droid to hack-up one of those armorless B2's you did!  I may play around with a longer neck - he looks a bit...squashed or something.

That Ahsoka is over the top. It is a dead ringer from that reference pic. Excellent rendition. Heck, I didn't even know she was ever a slave!

Ofcourse I love my gal on that swoop. What a great idea to use a transformer figure for.

I think I'm probably going to sell off that ahsoka figure and do another that is more accurate to the picture.  It's missing a few details that I wanted to add and just didn't make myself do it.  But with the way it turned out I know I can do better.  Not to mention that as I was pulling the torso off of the legs I busted the peg off on the inside of the torso. I had to dremel off the old one and replace it with a old knee joint peg from something else.  In the end it looks ok, but don't lift up her skirt, it's fugly under there.....  lol.  Definately need to make sure I hot tub the next one before pulling it apart.

I don't know if padme's arms would fit ahsoka, she is SO small that larger arms will look awkward I think.  Idk...  I would definately like a version of ahsoka with elbow joints though, it's too limited for my likes. 

anyways glad you guys enjoyed those.  I'll probably be selling the swoop bike transformer as well if anyone wants dibs on it....

That's another nice group of customs, spud. I also really like that transformer swoop idea. That Ashoka turned out great. I remember wild bill from my gijoe days when I was a kid. Where did you get that cool chopper?
