the parts for this were all taken from two droids... the IG lancer droid and the TCW IG-86 assassin droid.

Preferably I wanted to use a VOTC IG-88 instead of the lancer droid, but I couldnt find one....

so... preferably the recipee would be:

VOTC IG-88:
head, torso, shins, feet, misc. greeblies, bandolier, guns, accessories

IG-86 assassin droid:
Arms, hands, knee's and shins. (see below image)

the knee's of the assassin droid became the hip joint for the ig-88 because when the original's swivel hips were removed the resulting socket was a perfect fit for the leg of the animated assassin droid.  The assassin droid's leg was cut about 2cm above the knee and this was inserted into the socket of the IG-88's old swivel hip.   Then the animated figure's ankle socket became the knee socket.   The original IG-88's thigh armor and greeblie pieces where then trimed up to fit over this new thigh/hip piece...

make sense?

Awesome droid Spud, I am amazed at the level of  articulation and seemless blending you do with these,   I may have to get you to make me a Mando or RC one of these days

mandos... I can do mandos....

an RC is one I keep meaning to work on.  I've got an RC figure but havn't gotten around to messing with it.  I might do that today.

I was going to work on a new mando figure soon as well.  I'm calling the idea "mandalorian Iron-monger"  he'd basically be a shirtless, armorless, big muscled mandalorian blacksmith complete with an anvil, giant hammer and half forged mandalorian iron chestplate....

what kind of extra pieces?  I'm pretty taxed for time right now... I've been working at a gas station in town for the past two months and I've got alot of other stuff going on but I'm trying to keep up with doing a little customizing on my days off.   I'm probably going to try and mess with getting an RC at least started tonight as I have sunday off.

However, I don't realy have many RC accessories.  I have a mold made from one of the backpacks and a mold of one of the guns as well, but they aren't that great...  The little "handles" for lack of a better term on the backpack never come out in the mold, they always catch air bubbles.

BUT... none-the-less I will attempt to take one apart tonight.  I have no idea how I'm going to tackle the armored legs and the armored torso.... I'll have to experiment with a few of the loose joe fodder I have and see what I can come up with.
I have a feeling it will be a pretty extensive project, and one that I doubt I'll offer in my "super articulation services" thread without charging for....
