Well I think the ladies are certainly dominating this contest. That's not to say the mando men aren't giving them a run for their money, but dang if that ain't one awesome figure!

Chad, your custom Mando is awesome! I think it is the perfect paint scheme for a custom made in October. Besides that, your paint apps on her face and helmet are what really impressed me. I also really like the use of the winged Joe jetpack. This competition just got a lot better.  bbfet

I don't think this violates the rules of the contest. Colin Lingus Hobbs wanted to enter and all the posting he is able to do is at this point aimed at FaceBook so I agreed to load the pics he tagged for me here.

This is his entry:

He calls this the Mandalorian Scout Commander

This is my entry. He's got a real cloth vest under his armor. He's got a custom power hammer made by himself.
Please click on pics to see them larger.

Love this guy, CS!  The hammer gives him a more 'thunderous' appeal.  I think the cloth vest is really well done too.  It seems to puff out a bit under his armnor, but hey, we're working with 3 3/4 inch figs, right?

Awesome work!

Light side, dark side...meh.  Just give me a lightsaber and a blaster and I'll take care of it!

Fifth shot. I do not have a name yet. I have a few ideas about one for her but she is definitely a grim reaper incarnate. I focused on her gear too. She has a regular Z6 jetpack and she has a high altitude jet pack as well. Her guantlets are removable and she has swappable heads, a sword, custom pulse rifle, twin westar blasters and a vibroclaw fitted onto her left guantlet. I will have a full pic spread in my custom thread for those of you that want to see more. I really am in love with this figure and I hope you guys enjoy lookin at her as much as i do ( I just sit looking at her on my desk for moments at a time whenever I sit down to work).

Love the armor tatts/paint job!  Definitely like the grim reaper look you gave her.  This is deathly good!

That alternate armour from C L Hobbs is a great idea, two figures from one. Well done.

September 2011 Custom Mando Contest - Jango Taung
« Reply #145 on: October 05, 2011, 03:26:14 PM »
This is my entry for the Mando contest. To be honest, I don't know why I am entering, there are SO many awesome entries already. This was a WIP I had put away for a month or so, but decided to finish it up for the contest.

Clone CC-5774, nicknamed "Clip", left his role in the GAR shortly after Order 66.  Fed up with taking stupid orders from inferior, higher ranking clones, he decided to leave it all behind and go it alone. Clip became a bounty hunter and adopted a new name: Jango Taung. He chose "Jango" as his first name to honor of Jango Fett the "father of all clones" and the last name Taung in reference to the original Mandalorian species. Although his armor color was inspired by that of Jango Fett, he made many obvious variations in order to avoid the appearance of impersonating Fett.

Well there it is...
