Greetings everyone,
First off, I need to thank Tamer and LucasClones for all of their hospitality for the interview this past Thursday (9-6-2012) on Custom Action Figure News.

I do have a couple of projects to show off with the first being the Hoth Rebel Snowspeeder. This one will be shipped off in a few days to join R1bbit's ever expanding Hoth Diorama. This is an Action Fleet Snowspeeder from Galoob at the time that I had sitting in my stash and on my bench for over two years. Originally, this belonged to my oldest son..who was coming of age just in time for all of the new star wars toys.

Now, this one is a very dear project to me. The story of acquisition was probably the most memorable. I was living in a different city at the time, working on a movie project. While at Walmart one night, as usual, I wandered into the toy aisle where they just laid out all of the new Hasbro 12" Vintage Collection. The only choices were, Luke, a Stormtrooper and one single Boba Fett. I continued to look up and down the aisle when another guy came up..I made sure to stick close to the figure..just in case I made up my mind to get it.
I caught it out of the corner of my eye, the other guy stretched out his right arm to grab the Boba Fett..

So, I yoinked it before he could lay a finger on it.
Flash Forward to today..I got tired of the look of the stenciled paint application on the figure..which I always thought was some of Hasbro's finest work. The goal is to turn this figure into something worthy of a shelf next to the Sideshow Collectibles stuff.
A couple of before pics..

And work in progress..

Near complete with the helmet and chest piece.

Hopefully, I'll have another large update later today.

As always,
I want to start off with a big thanks to Tamer and everyone here at the Shipyards. I apologize for not participating more as I should, but that doesn't mean I don't sneak a peek at all the great work present here in the Shipyards.
I also want to extend my thanks again for my time on Custom Action Figure News. I had a great time and I hope I didn't fumble the ball.

  BUT!
I do have something closer to a finished Boba Fett. The final details are just adding the decals on his chest plate and shoulder and adding a figure stand..if Not..eventually Boba comes crashing down and breaks the sensor scope each time.
Here are some new progress pics...

Thanks Mando,
You know it's getting harder and harder for me to have to sell this guy. I still have to keep him around till October 13th for a Toy Show here in town, but after that..I may end up keeping this guy.

So, I have taken another break from the bench, but I've jumped back on to finish another lingering kit.
This time I got to the 30th Anniversary Edition of The Original Battlestar Galactica Cylon Raider. I built this one pretty much entirely out of the box with no special modifications aside from the lights.

As usual, I didn't document the entire build, but I do have some of the progress pics to completion.

awesome job with the raider.  My dad had an old cylon raider model from way back and a few years ago I refurbished it and put LEDs in it similar to this.  He still has it setting on his Sci-Fi book shelf!

I love the classic raider look.  It's so iconic.

you should definately get a viper to go with it!
