Before this starts collecting dust on the shelf, here's one of the first photoshopped images produced from the model.

Thanks Tamer,
That is always appreciated. I have a couple more, but I think this model will be going back to the shelf after this last image of it flying through the death star.

Next up is the Jedi Fighter from Fine Molds which has been sitting on the bench longer than the MF.

Hey, L.E.
I think you've got a great build going on over in the custom vehicle thread.

Back to action..I have a kit that's been sitting on the back burner for about two years now. This isn't a Star Wars build but something out of that other sci-fi genre.

This is the Defiant from Deep Space Nine, but I won't be placing those decals on this kit. I reset a sheet of decals to make this the U.S.S. Impervious. I have to get the wiring done this week, but this should be together in a couple of weeks.

In other news, I will be participating in an online model contest this summer. My entry will be the Fine Molds Slave-1. And I plan to have this as a companion piece for the Milllennium Falcon I just finished.

I tried to upload the video to the front page. Let me know if you can't see it or the size is off.

If you have an future vids and can pasted the full embed code I can get em coded and up there a bit easier. I am firewalled with youtube while at work, but can't wait to get home to see what you are doing.

Hey there, Tamer and Luke
I have to thank you guys for always coming around to check out the models I get to work on. I know I'm in the minority here since I haven't been working on customizing figures and vehicles, but it's good to know I can always post my work here.

I actually have a couple of pics for you guys...The model is glued together and all the internal wiring is completed. I've had a few hiccups along the way, but nothing too damaging.

I'm going to start throwing some of the decals tomorrow and I should also have the switches inserted into the display base.

I'm always so envious of those who can work some lighting into their customs.  I've failed on epic levels every time I've attempted, so to see others work always put me in a state of awe.  This, my good Sir, is no exception.  It looks very well done, and I look forward to seeing the next update!

Hey there,
You know, Phatty..I don't know how to really light these models, but I tend to cheat a lot by using Christmas LED lights. They don't require any resistors and usually fit in just about any spot inside the model. I did have to cast some of the parts in clear resin, but there are after-market parts available for certain kits.

Anyway, I've got a couple more pics for tonight...I'm going to call it a night on this one before I screw something up.
Thanks for stopping by, take care and have fun out there.

I've started adding some of the hull details and after these are done, I have to add one more coat of Future and then on to the final layer of Designation Decals.

Michael, the model is looking fantastic! Great idea using the blue plastic to color the small round lighted areas. Great update

Hey there, guys

I have a few more pics today..I have all of the different hull plates completed. They are not painted on, but I did use a set of decals that were free to download off another forum. I have to get the hull designation markings applied next and then get this bad boy hooked up to the stand and get the wiring finished. There will be a total of three switches..one to operate the main lighting set up, the second to operate the blinking LED, and the third to operate the phaser cannons.

Anyway, Thanks for checking this out and thanks for all the great comments.

Hey Guys,
I have one more update for this one. There are a few tweaks that still need to be made here and there and an issue with the wiring that needs to be addressed as well, but this one is essentially done.

Next up, I will be returning to the Star Wars Universe with the Fine Molds Boba Fett Slave-1. This will be my entry into the three month long Scale Model Addict online contest so we'll see what happens. Till then you guys take care and have fun out there.

Wow, Triple S. I like it. Your light effects are over the top as usual and your personally made marking looks great. Back on the front page.
