First Post / Dalmont's Customs :: UPDATED - NEW, Z-95 Custom!
« on: October 24, 2011, 05:19:32 PM »
Hello! This is my first post here. I used to build models as a kid, but I never really did anything I was proud of. Now that I've finally got some time on my hands I've started getting down and dirty with some action fleet ships.

I humbly present to you, my action-fleet T-Wing. As of now, there is still some painting left to do, but everything is in place. Any suggestions for my next project are more than welcome! ( I do love the more obscure ships. )

Welcome to the yards! I love vehicle mods and am a huge fan of X-Wings in general. The vehicle looks great so far and I can't wait to see you finish this one up. Excelent work!

Action Fleet has always had a place in my heart. One of the best toylines of the early 90s. Always wished they did more with it and released more EU ships and playsets. This T-Wing is looking very spiffy! Can't wait to see what else you got up the sleeve of your flight suit ;)

Thank you all for the warm welcome!  ;D I finally finished painting her today. I'm also very excited, I just got some new sculpting putty, and acrylic in the mail, not to mention a whole boat load of action fleet ships on the way from e-bay!

As for the next project, I'm considering either doing the R-41 Starchaser or the Z-95.

On to pictures!

Final Paint.

Awesome ship!  Welcome to the 'Yards!  My son and I are fans of "Uglies".  Maybe a mash-up of two for your next ship(s)?

As a child I collected the action fleet ships, and now that I'm older and a customizer I love doing a custom AF every now and then...

This t-wing is perfect.  I realy like it.  when I saw it on the front page I was a little sceptical as it didn't have anything but primer on it, but seeing the final painted up product I'm very impressed.  I've modified and customized a few AF x-wings and they aren't easy to work with.  Your cuts and your splices for the wings and fuselage are very well done, in the final product its hard to spot them...

the starchaser sounds interesting...  I've always loved the more obscure and random EU vehicles as well...  One thing I've always wondered if it'd be possible to put together is the Shadows of the Empire "outrider" by kit-bashing a B-wing cockpit onto a Melinium falcon...  it'd be a major undertaking but I think the result would be pretty cool.

Great job on the T-WING and maybe for your nex project you could do an E-WING.

Action fleet has a production e-wing, it's extremely rare however.

Thanks for all the response folks! Here is the next custom in the lineup. A Z-95 Headhunter!

Not sure whats next, the E-Wing is so outlandishly expensive, I may just have to try to scratch build one for my collection. Or perhaps the R-41?

the z-95 looks great!  I tried making one of those myself quite a while back and wound up sending it off to another customizer to finish.

I love the look you've captured with yours! Makes me want to re-visit my own action fleet collection and do a few more customs.... maybe even a z-95 again...
