SO apparently spending money (that I didn't have) on new episode one movie figures was what I needed to push my creativity back towards figure customs...
So, while taking a break on the concept boba fett helmet, I've gotten one figure finished and a couple others in progress.
a New super articulated Aurra Sing based on the movie version is the newest finished figure:
as you can see this version turned out much better than my attempt at super articulating the clone wars version.... but I still like the clone wars version. It has it's merits...
And a current WIP:
The "sharpshooter droideka"
Not sure that the droid is coming together like I'd want. I can't figure out a good way to articulate the sheild. In the toon, and the blueprints, the shield rotates down over the head and gun, then a door slides open for the head and gun to poke out of... I doubt I can make it that complicated. In this prototype version I've used some General Grevious arms as articulation points and made two seperate halves to the shield with a pre-cut door. This allows the shield to swing out, then rotate around, bypassing the gun and head... it works... I just don't like the way it looks.
After a few nights of sleeping on it I'll return to this project and figure something out...
