Devin, this rocks!
Can you post some hints about putting a t-bar into a swivel-hipped crotch, please?

Second that!

I'd also be game for the sharing of some t-bar secrets!

Aayla looks fantastic!

Light side, dark side...meh.  Just give me a lightsaber and a blaster and I'll take care of it!

No problem guys,

Basically, boil and pop the figure your working on.  IN this case it was aayla.  Pop out the original legs.

Then very carefully use your dremel or exacto knife (i used my exacto as I'm a little more precise with it) to trim away the excess around the crotch until it is more of a V shape instead of the original |_| shape.  Then drill a hole through the center, take a T-bar from a joe and break off the top T part and slide the cross bar with the ball joints through the hole you drilled.

I'm going to be adding some hot glue to the T-bar insert to fix some wiggle problems and I think it will be perfect.

I tell you what... I know that's a little confusing... so I'll try and record a short video and get it uploaded to my FB page tonight about this figure before I paint it.

well, time got away from me tonight, no way I'll get a video recorded.  I'll have time to do it on saturday, hopefully I'll have something up by then... keep checking back.

that's what working two jobs, having a girl friend, living at home with talkative parents, trying to apply for grad school, and having a hobby gets me...

Hey Devin, thanks for the how-to.
A video would be killer, of course. Take your time!

I hope so too tamer.  I'm sorry I've had to re-schedule.  I hate being so busy with working two jobs... it's killing me... but I can't afford not to atm.

We will work it out.

Thanks to starwarsgeek for the RDJ head for iron man.
it came unpainted, and this was my first attempt at painting all the details, including the eyes, and I'm pretty impressed with myself...   I think I could improve upon it a little still though:

also from starwarsgeek I got this cool custom sculpted torso.  It's a variation of the reactive armor from gi-joe

I just gave it a flatt black coat for now, what colors should I paint the armor?  or just detail it and weather it in black?  any ideas?

I suggest making it a cool Old republic smuggler and paint the armor gray and the clothe in the back shades of brown. Just an idea.
My ebay  http://www.ebay.com/usr/zacha-mann?_trksid=p2047675.l2559   My collection and some new customs are there. Check it out

that's actually not a bad idea.  I need to get some more leather paint.
