hey guys.  I've fallen on some tough times this month and have some very unexpected expenses to cover.... I have to at least have 300 extra bucks by the end of the month to cover these expenses so I am offering any and all of my customs up for sale...

Of course there are several that I don't want to part with, but if you are interested make me an offer...  Even for the ones I don't want to give up, if the offer is good enough (And fair) then I will broker a deal.

For the ones I definitely want to get rid of and are willing to take a hit on (pretty much taking any reasonable offer, I'm not even breaking even on some of these...) check out this gallery here on my FB page:

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.593755127330167.1073741839.275038512535165&type=1&l=18479f9893

I will be keeping that gallery on my FB page updated as I sell items.  Sold Items will be marked as such, and I will be adding new items throughout the week.

I hope you guys can get a few cool custom figures for a good price and help me out while doing so.  Thanks.

Go ahead and give ALL my galleries a look...  I am considering offers for any and all of my customs.  The bills have stacked up and I've got to get some cash to pay them off.  So if you make me a good offer on something, even if it's something I'd "never" consider selling... I'll probably agree to it...

A friend of mine recently approached me with an idea to create in 1:18th scale the Sideshow Collectibles Mythos obi-wan kenobi statue...  this got me doing some research into those statues and of course I came across boba fett's... and I knew I had to do this in action figure form.

Here are some reference images of the statue:

more reference images here: http://morethanjustreviews.com/all-review-list/sideshow-collectibles-boba-fett-mythos-statue-review/#

So... how to do this in figure form.  Well, he'll have to be super articulated of course!  I'll need to make a kama and new belt... get all the necessary accessories and create a new cape.... and new hands with wrist articulation to better hold his guns...

first I took and used a bespin luke's waist and thighs to super articulate boba:

My first attempts at the cape and kama didn't turn out well...

The fabric was good for the kama, and the perfect color, but the belt didn't look right and the fabric definately dind't work for the cape...

after a trip to walmart I was able to find the perfect "silky" thin fabric to make the cape out of.

I also made him a new belt using bespin luke's belt and holster as well as the pouches from boba's old belt and moved the pockets off the belt and down onto the kama like in the statue...  at this point it looks really good.

found some lightsabre hilts and other guns for him to wield, added those on:

then heavilly weathered him and added the final touches:

not too happy with the jetpack in the final images, so I'll be repainting the green one that I used in the first set of pictures...
I also realize I may have painted the eyes on the helmet a little too high.  I'll probably fix that also.

Other than that I think it turned out really well.  What do you guys think?

Thanks everyone.  The next step in the process will be to build the small diorama base similar to that of the statue.

but that'll have to wait as I've currently undertook a huge endeavor... cleaning my hobby room and setting up two new desks in place of my old folding tables...

well... it's been a while since I completed a project and had something to post. I've been busy fiddling with a few projects and for the last month nearly hadn't even sat at my hobby table... between the end of a semester at school, signing up for a new masters program at another school (going to try and go into teaching), the holidays and other projects around the house I've had no time or motivation for customizing...

that is until I finally found a mara jade figure on the shelf at an out-of-town wal-mart!  I knew I wanted one of these but also knew I HAD to fix/replace that rediculous head sculpt and hair.

so this is what I came up with, almost ultimate mara jade (I say almost cuz, well I didn't super articulate the figure... I just didn't see the point in wasting the great sculpting on this figure... and I didn't have spare parts to devote to the task).

just goes to show that no matter what the mental block or how long you have spent away from the work bench, the right porject and the right motivation will get you right back into the game...  It helps that hasbro continuously screws up their products. lol
