Hehe thanks lads - you are all too kind (as always!)   :D

I was finishing up my garage clean out and looky what I found! 



All of these guys will be restored & recarded, restored and used in my Vintage Battle of Hoth display or  utilised in my vintage custom project...none will go to waste!!!

Talking of which here is my projected line up for 'The Line That Time forgot.'

Star Wars A New Hope -

1. Han Solo (Imperial Stormtrooper Outfit)
2. Imperial Stormtrooper (Desert Gear)
3. Rebel Fleet Trooper

The Empire Strikes Back - 

1. Luke Skywalker (Snowspeeder Outfit)
2. Dack Ralter (Snowspeeder Outfit)
3. Han Solo (Hoth Base Outfit)

Return of The Jedi - 

1. Luke Skywalker (Endor Capture Outfit)
2. Y-Wing Pilot
3. Y-Wing Astro

AOTC Jango Fett

Okeday Vintage Amigos!!

Here is the first of today's double update...From 'The Line That Time Forgot' I bring you, Luke Skywalker (Endor Capture Outfit)



This is one figure I couldn't believe Kenner didn't produce back in the day. Even as a kid I knew how easy it would have been!!







The head I've used here makes this custom. It's the rarer Taiwan 'moulded face, painted hair' Jedi Luke head. The hair needed repainting.



The binders are from an AOTC pack and the green saber is a repro (until I get my hands on another vintage one.)



The body is from a Luke Skywalker (Battle Poncho) figure one of the infamous 'Last 17.' Quite a few of these still exist minus the poncho and gunbelt. To finish this custom off I've painted his belt and buckle

And here we have another addition to my Rebel Fleet...



I never even saw an A-Wing toy as a kid. They came out very late in the day as part of the Droids line and fetch a hefty price these days, even loose.

However in the mid 1990s Hasbro released the A-Wing as part of the POTF2 line and I snapped one up! The ship used 99% of the same moulds as the vintage Kenner toy (including the battery compartment even though there are no electronics in the Hasbro version!!)

As my other fighters are now all vintage versions I decided to retrofit my A-Wing and convert it into the original Droids version. First off was a complete take down..

 

Followed by a respray in vintage colours and the application of a set of reproduction Wookiee-Decals





After a varnish and rebuild I'm really happy with her and she can rightfully  take her place in my fleet with her restored pilot...











I just need a few last parts to finish my Y-Wing, the  perhaps a White USA Kenner X-Wing for my fleet!!

Well today the last parts to complete my vintage Kenner Y-Wing arrived, namely the front guns and bomb. I've also resprayed the POTF2 tail struts for a better match to the original toy...













I've also completed my work on the vintage Astromech as well so here's the completed, fully restored ship in all her glory complete with a custom Kenner crew!

These pics also show off the 40 repro decals that I made to complete the toy. I really enjoyed restoring this ship and I'm very happy with the results!

Next up will be a Snowspeeder with Luke and Dack, followed by a Luke and Tauntaun.

Then the next big project will be a total strip restoration of my beloved, globe trotting childhood Falcon. Complete with Han and Chewie!

Wow! I am loving your Custom Vintage Figures! They remind me of Ken Pruitt's custom work from years ago. Tomart's did a feature on him and his custom Jabba Palace. If you don't mind, here are a few pictures of his custom vintage figures that might give you some inspiration!



This article was my inspiration to get into customizing. My first custom was one of those vintage Rebel Fleet Troopers!

I absolutely LOVE your Y-Wing pilot!! The paint applications, especially the helmet, look like something Kenner would have done.

Awesome project, Ray. The real vintage line is very dear to me and I think you're doing a smashing job expanding it. That Y-Wing pilot is simply amazing.

I'll be keeping a close eye on this, very anxious to see what the future brings!
