GI-Joe Hazard Viper Review
« on: December 05, 2011, 09:38:18 PM »
I got an itch to open one of my joes up tonight and chose the Hazard Viper from Wave 7, I think, which is also part of the 30th ann collection.

upon opening, you are presented with the normal great quality of sculpt and articulation of a modern joe figure as well as nice paint apps where applicable.
The double jointed knees are absent from this figure due to the bulky nature of his chem suit.
He includes a brief case that will hold 3 removable hazardous chemical containers, two small pistols, a bulky backpack/chem gun combo with attached hose, another hand gun which I would assume is an air injector gun, a removable chem suit helmet/gas mask combo with air filtration canisters, and a figure stand.

The hands seemed a bit flexable to me and offered some frustration coaxing him to hold his guns without dislodging the wrist peg from the forearms.

I liked the look of this figure and thought it added a meanacing air to anyone's cobra army.

I have a hard time taking this guy seriously, because he has both an air-purifying respirator (gasmask) that purifies outside air *AND* an SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus - air tanks)

I also have several of the exact same gasmasks he wears...  ;D

Otherwise, it's a fairly cool fig!

the SCBA tanks are removable Doc, so it can be JUST the gasmask...

I LOVE THIS FIGURE.  it's one of my favorite joes yet from this line.  I bought two...  I'm planing on customizing one and leaving the other un-altered... there aren't many joes that I leave unaltered and complete....

I totally love this figure, he is mostly a straight repaint but they managed to do something really nice with him.

Updates Mon-Fri every week, also reviews and much much more.

a strait repaint?  of which figure?  I don't remember anything except for maybe the legs, torso and arms being used on an arctic figure.   The suit and the mask are new arent they??  Or was this the recipe for the "lava viper"?  (I never saw that figure in hand so that's where my confusion may be coming from).

Volcano Viper, the only difference is the arms, he came with the ROC Lava Pod:

But yeah they are nearly identical.

I do kind of like Volcano viper too, he can't help his speciality is dumb LOL.  But I think it's an ok "Extreame conditions" type of trooper.
