Here's one I literally threw together in under 15 minutes. I started out with one of two pieces of random packing foam I grabbed from my dad's trash pile a few weeks ago. I thought they had potential. One is sitting on Brendan's shelf as a backdrop for his droid "story-scapes" in its original white. Well, I was outside putting some black basecoat on a few pieces and decided I'd try that darn Krylon Tangerine one more time - this time on the foam. I shot at it in quick puff-bursts from 12"+ away, careful to not let it build up very much in any one spot. I worked over the inside of the piece (I'll post a pic of that in backstage thread) pretty good.
Once inside, I set it on the counter where I do most of my photo-work now and loved how the full-spectrum bulb made it look! Very romantic and homey! I yelled for Keera to bring me her Organa's. Looked good - but was lacking ... PLANTS!! I screamed for legos!! NOW! All four of us sat in the kitchen floor, digging thru two boxes of lego parts looking for plant pieces and anything I could use to stand them up.I ended up with three potted plants, a small tree with vines, and a stray vine hanging down thru the skylight.
So, I want to express my gratitude to Brendan, Keera, and Alanna for their immediate responses to my calls for help and loaner materials. They loaned props, assembled set-dressing, and helped hold up backdrops on a moment's notice to create the following set-piece.
