The really great thing is how modular these things are! You can build up several Hangar sets an stage them around for a spaceport scene, add in some Refinery parts for detail, toss in some Citadel walls mounted with weapons from any of the Arsenal sets, and *POOF* you have a pirate base or Imperial base. ump the walls and guns for a civvie look. Add in the Octopad for an elevated look... On and on!

Here's the basic module with doors in place, shot from behind/inside...

You saw a shot of the small crate in one of the pics I submitted for the HiPS contest. Here's a pic of that same crate and one enlarged 200% - displayed with a Clone Pilot mini and an ARC Trooper figure. Both crates are quite functional as set-dressing in a/f scale and I'm toying with casting them in resin and possibly even making the lid removable.

I purchased and downloaded citadel and landing pad and I have to say I hate card stock!!! I wanted to burn the bunch of them as my glue sticks did nothing to hold the bloody paper together!!! Talk about having a nutty.. After a beer I calmed down a little and put a few together.. neat if you have patience.. an I have none!!! I would like to see if chip board will suffice and put some heft to these structures.

It should - I've heard quite a few people use it. I figure on using foamcore for the larger pieces like wall-panels and the octopad.

Michael, I like the 1" grids. Each one is the equivalent to an 18"x18" square, more or less, if a 4" figure is equal to a 6' person.
I love these things. Economical and easy to work with, and they look fantastic.

I found a source for 1.5" panels in several designs that I'm experimenting with now. I hope to have a few pics up over the weekend. They aren't FTM, but still look good in the rough b&w printout I've been doing.
