Well I finally took this off the Mannetamer and took it to a Halloween Party this weekend. My gals were both dressed up as Star Wars Characters. Hopefully not the last time that will happen! Anyhow here are a few pics:

This was fun, but boy did I get hot. Gonna have to get some fans in my bucket and some ice packs for my  jumpsuit or something!

Very nice pics!! Congrats!  :)

Thanks Serg. The folks kept calling me a Stormtrooper, but I didn't care. They seemed to really like it and my gals never thought I would actually walk around in it.

Fine looking family Shawn. My oldest daughter (8) was Queen Amidala last year, she has the same costume.

They all thought I was a Stormtrooper so I didn't correct them for the most part. It was fun.

Coolio! My daughter is eager to get back into this tomorrow for trick or treat night.

Well it has been awhile to say the least, but I did get out today in my TA Kit and had such a blast.  A couple of photos:

It was a great time. I had hoped to meet a few other 501st members there, but it was so cool to see how everyone like my outfit and Star Wars in general. I did not hear one negative comment from anyone throughout the whole day. From kids to teenagers to young adults, folks my age, and even older adults (one older lady came up and grabbed me and said she was ready to take her astronaut home) liked it. I would definitely encourage anyone with aspirations to own a costume to get one to troop in!

Well I am planning a few new projects to go along with my TA Kit. The first of which is a helmet bag designed by a wonderful 501st craftsman known as Wally:

I am also designing a "TA Tote" that has wheels on it so I can protectively transport my outfit while traveling to a troop. I think it is gonna turn out great. More photos of that project when I get on my feet and am able to work on it a bit. My biggest problem at the moment is I want a telescopic handle on one side of the tote so I can extend the handle to comfortably wheel it around, but then push said handle back down when I get it work I want to go. There is also the option of getting a small fold up dolly that looks pretty cool too that I could then use for other things so I am leaning a bit that way at the moment.

I am leaning towards the red one at the moment, but if I could just find some easy handle for the tote I wouldn't need the operation to be this cumbersome. It perplexes me it does!

Very cool!

Thanks Serg. I am even pricing out a MonCal TK Kit if you can believe it. My TA Kit has been out a few times and it is holding up well.

On my tote I found a telescoping cooler handle replacement part I think will work nicely. I might have to modify it just a bit for it to go on top of my box so I can roll it around easier, but I think I have that problem licked. I also am starting to get in some awesome vinyl decals I plan on using on it after I get it painted.
