Oh jeeze, I'm such an idiot, I was thinking snowtrooper not driver. Forget everything I said.

(You sure you want me on a podcast?)

lol

Hey man, I appreciate as many viewpoints as I can get to help me do this correctly. You just helped me clarify my own boots are spot on.

And daggone yes for the podcast. You are an awesome customizer and I  can't wait to get into our lighting roundtable coming up.

Probably the normal white although a grey one is on my short list. I am also hopefully gonna get an AT-AT Gunner Set up and perhaps a snowtrooper sometime too, but thats way in the future. Still if Hasbro keeps up with the way they are going it might be sooner than later.

As for the blaster, Viper Aviator is making me a doopy doos kit and even a scout blaster I do believe if I ever just want to get a white holster and go non-canon.

Right now my focus is on finishing up the mannequin as far as having it ready to accep the flight suit and armor once I get it. I need to cut some of the leg length off to match my height and I just changed the foot set up yesterday to give it a more foot look and it sure supports it better. Then, I plan on using bubble wrap to pad it a bit and am gonna put a pair of white longjohns on it as an undercovering that should look just about right. Of course I will post more pics when I get it to that stage.

Thansk for following my costume journey folks.

Doppydoos are really cool kits, they are made after a real Sterling. Even I was thinking of getting one before I got my deactivated converted Sterling. The Doopys is good for trooping but also for display by being lightweight.

Well another small update. I decided to add two more t's and an elbow to make feet for this and I got this padded up with some clothes on it. I think I am ready for my costume. It seems just a bit bow legged to me, so I might work on that a bit more but think the flight suit will pretty much cover that up.

Ok, after taking those pics I couldn't stand the legs, back to the drawing board. Ryan, the fellow from Spiderhillpropworks.com, had a great idea and I now have this:

Looks great now!!

Thanks Serg, its a ton better. I ended up taking the elbows off the area where the torso meets the legs and turned the t's and straight connected the spider joints to em. It looks a lot better now.

I like how you dressed the guy up to be warm :D BTW do you have a name for the fellow? My 1:1 Stormie is named Gigel (a diminutive after George in Romanian)  ;D

LOL. What better than longjohns! I don't yet have a name for this creation other than Mannetamer. I figured I would call it my 501st Designation when I get that far. I am open to suggestions though.

That look's awesome!

Thank you. I also recieved word that the Spider Hill Props Fellow is going to do up a kit along these same lines and perhaps even better based on my little experiments with this. I have to say Ryan from SHPW has been very helpful with suggestions and ideas to make this all work out.

that looks 100% better!

Yeah, if you can believe it it was even worse when I first stuffed him. Taking off those elbows and going straight from the torso onto the legs really  was the ticket. The thing I like about this too is that is was even easy to rework even after I had him "stuffed" so to speak.

Any news about your AT-AT?

As we discussed on the GG AT-AT Driver bust thread here are some pics of the screen used costume:

My own AT-AT Driver - life-size LAWS AT-AT Driver helmet and armor on custom bust. Chest-box comes with LED's that have 2 different lighting effects. This bust is simply fantastic and uber accurate:
