Alright, you asked for it, I had to get this to the front page. Just think about it, the figures you work on are a whole lot bigger than mine. You are a builder now, buddy.
Thanks Clint. Just a few minor tweaks on my end. The real artist here was MonCal. I have also been helped out a lot along the way. I think the only bad thing for me is when you work on a figure you might be out ten bucks if you mess up. If you mess this up you are messing up hundreds of dollars. I am trying to get out of that mentality though.

looking good!
Getting closer Chad, thanks.

Thats the plan. I need to get some tools and other supplies among other things before I can go any further. I might attach the shoulder straps and chestbox to the front of the armor though. I also need to figure out the correct color of red to repaint the tusk on the right. Its not buggered up much, but its bugging me.

Looks really great! An awesome armor.

As I said the Laws chest box can be opened in two hallves, the top and the bottom which can also be completely removed, thus very easy to work with internal parts like electronics or LED lights.

Interesting way of attaching the helmet cannisters. Are the magnets strong enough? BTW are the BOC holders connected to the helmet?

Thanks Serg. It does look good. I can't wait to get it all together. I sure wish mine opened in two halves. I can see the back seams, but they are glued together. I still think the hole is probably large enough to get the led components in there as the one video of the electronics you say you have actually is mounted on the MonCal Chestbox according to the video.

The magnets on the cannisters are very strong and go back to the same position automatically. This is a really nice feature. Maybe its just too early in the morning but what do you mean by BOC holders?

Those hangers on thesides next to the lenses are made from  BOC syphon soda holders. :)

BTW would you consider now upgrading the Gentle Giant AT-AT mini-bust since you hsve an accurate 1:1 model to guide yourself after? I did it on my bust:  http://www.imperialshipyards.net/SMF/index.php?topic=238.msg151528#msg151528

My lenses seem to be hot glued in. I can see now from researching through other boards that he has two different lense styles (bubble and flat) so I am guessing perhaps the BOC holders would have been nice. I will take a pic later for you.

As for the AT-AT Bust we will have to see, I sure wouldn't mind having one that is accurate. I am not much of a painter though Serg.

I used a toothpick to paint the bust and now looks perfect :D I used red paint for some parts and silver for the others. It took about 15 minutes from the prep time to end. And i'm not a very talented painter either ;)

BTW these are BOC holders - mine are original:

are yours connected in any way to the helmet besides the small gray hose?

You  never know I may give it a whirl. After working on this I wouldn't think I would stress so much on smaller items. We will see.

Now I see what you are talking about. I will take a look when I get home this evening to see if they are connected to anything besides the hose.

By the way, what did you use to paint the red? If I have to try and match up my red for the tusk I may as well use what you are painting your red with as it seems to be accurate.

I used an automotive paint for the red tusk long ago when replaced the resin tusks with more accurate metal ones on my gray fiberglass helmet, and the same spray can for the GG AT-AT bust last week. But for the bust I sprayed the paint on a plastic surface and used a toothpick to paint the bust.

I kind of doubt you'll find the exact brand from Romania, but it says New F bright red.

Just wondered if perhaps it might have been an American Spray Paint. Thanks for the answer.

Just look at the red on the tusks and then try to match it as good as you can. Then you can use the same red for the GG AT-AT Driver bust if you want, it is just fine.

BTW this might be of interest for you too: http://www.therpf.com/f13/esb-atat-helmet-tusk-discs-172660/

LOL. Yeah Serg I was coming to that conclusion.

I will worry about the GG Bust way down the road. I want this costume finished up. On that note I have a good handle on the Ejection Harness and hope I have something to show you here in a few weeks. Gonna attach it to the jumpsuit using velcro and it should work fine.

Neat tusk disks, how did they turn out?

If you looked at the link above, I intend to order a set of those newly found tusks
