If you looked at the link above, I intend to order a set of those newly found tusks

I did look, I am guessing he hasn't gotten them sent out yet. They look great though.

Shawn, I would almost consider masking off that red area from the front or preferably from the back with either black electrical tape or possibly a sheet of craft foam and then create an assembly to contain it and the led lights behind and figure out a way to mount it to the inside. Im afraid that hole in the back will need to get bigger, at  least to facilitate you being able to turn the leds on.

This is looking great Shawn! If you light that chest box it will be over the top Best of luck fixing the paint scratch and matching the red paint.

I was afraid you would say that, but it is a possibility. I would just need a portion there to be able to bolt it to the front armor.

Thanks Spry. I am gonna try to do both. Hope I can at least get close on the paint.

I'm waiting to see a price point and pics. But definitely interested!

If he offers up to get anymore I would like to know and order a set myself as I can see I am not gonna be satisfied with one bucket and chestbox. Seriously thinking about going after a Laws when I get this one wrapped up.

Laws AT-AT armor and helmet are great. I surely love mine. Very accurate, but more expensive than MonCal. Also you need to wait longer, with not so good communication.

Well I just bought some bright red metal paint. It is still drying, but doesn't quite match in my opinion. Glad I tried it out on a bolt before using it on my tusk.

Tried emailing Cal again as I have yet to recieve a response, but I sure hope I can at least get this paint color figured out. It is highly bugging me.

I'd say any kind of red is good unless waaaay too bright/orangy or too dark. It is quite impossible to know what they really used back then.

My problem was the gloss. The color I bought was probably close enough in color, but way too glossy. I am gonna have to see if I can find a flatter paint. It would be a ton easier if I could just find out what was used to begin with.

Tamer, just buy some clear flat or clear satan and apply that on the paint you alreay have instead of buying more paint. You can get the clear coats at any hobby shop

Not a bad idea if I had any Hobby Shops close. Living in the sticks has its drawbacks when it comes to that.

It's the most acurate AT-AT Driver suit out there. Though if you get it on separate parts you might get it cheaper.
