Almost there guys. Did a bit more work this morning, enough to see how it looked. I still have to do some hose trimming and bending with my heat gun to get it to lay better and work on how my e-harness lays (that might have been just me hurrying to dress) and get my chest breather led panel installed, but I am pretty pleased.

Now, that is just impressive, buddy. I cant wait to see your display of it in your collection. It's going to be next to that entertainment center, right?

I know you have posted a lot of stories to the front page today but I had to get this one up there at the top.

Hey thanks Clint. It sure has been a long time coming hasn't it. Feels pretty good. And yes, I plan on putting it up beside my entertainment center I built last year. I even created a mannequin stand today that is gonna work great to totally support it.

That is one sweet-looking costume. Very jealous!

Thanks Kualan. Lets just say it took me awhile to do it, but I am glad I did. I could easily see you doing something along this line for one of your great TFTCW characters.

Damn great looking costume Shawn.

Ron

Thanks Ron. I like my drivers the way you like your Sandtroopers. I always wonder when I am gonna see you put together a Sandy Suit.

LOL. Well I never thought I would do this, but I have so who knows. Mayber there will be an AT-AT in my future one day. I bet we see someone try to make one; perhaps slightly smaller. Bet I email em quick to get the second one.

Looking great Shawn!

Scott, thanks. And I am telling you it is remarkably comfortable to wear. The armor especially feels good and perfect for my frame such as it is. I could easily see this being cold weather trooping though. I had a t-shirt and sweatpants on under the suit today taking it on and off to get the velcro on and get things positioned and was starting to get warm by the time I took some photos. For a cool Fall or Winter day though it will be perfect.

Dang that's awesome Tamer!! Hopefully you'll be fully armed soon!!

Ray, the only reason I am not dressing my mannequin yet is because I want to take a few photos of it with that great e eleven thats coming. Then, this project will be put to bed. Hopefully I didn't bug you or too  many other ISYers in the making of this costume. I know I do get kind of focused when I am on a mission.

There are still a few things to play around with for this, but all fairly minor, except for maybe the project Clint is helping me on with a better comm chip for the left glove. I lighted up my led panel and it works and looks like I should be able to install it with a glue gun even with some kinda cramped quarters. Like I said I want to also trim up my breather box hoses just a bit and use a heat gun to get em to lay perhaps a bit better (although the five oh one pics I looked at today showed worse than what I have already done), but for the most part the heavy lifting is over. Whew! I have a lot more respect for folks who have created and are putting together movie accurate one to one props and costumes. Even with someone else creating the armor and helmet there is still a good bit of work for the owner to do.

Oh, did I tell you I got a great speaker and amplifier system for the helmet too? The same guy that makes the led panels from Germany also makes a very nice voice module system.

Shawn, I am very happy for you. That looks fan freakin tastic! I see you have the same issue I have... the camera always adds 10 lbs to my junk too.
I can't get over how cool that looks. When I went to the front page and saw  the costume, I immediately knew that it was you, and to be honest, it felt like I was seeing my lotto numbers match up! I am seriously happy for you, bro, and it really does look as sweet as the good stuff that the Hershey family keeps in their vault.
I know you must be tickled pink. I can't wait to see when you add LED lights to this. I'll be doubling up on my diaper because I know I'll be sh.... Well, you know what I'll be doing in my pants when I see this fully operational!

Barry, your comments are always hilarious, thanks for the review. Hopefully I can work on my junk a bit. Definitely there will be more pics when I get those minor tweaks fixed.

I was always thinking I wanted 501st quality and they do great charity work so I could easily see me joining them down the road. There is actually someone who lives with a couple hours of me who is a TIE Fighter Pilot who is overjoyed perhaps there might be one more guy in his area to troop.

The gear looks fantastic Shawn! I know you are one happy camper now!

Yepper, long time coming, but it is finally all coming together. Thanks for the comments Spry. I could easily see Jaxxon getting you into something like this one day too.

Thank you for the comments.

Well real life and my daughter's specialist check up took away the rest of my weekend so no more work, but I did get my mannequin holder set up and it works great. No worries about crashing Man-at. I did light up the led panel and it works great, it alternates between partially and fully lit and seems pretty sturdy for an electronic this size. Can't wait to find some time to work on getting it installed this week. The hose thing should be pretty minor too. I know one thing having those canisters hook onto the back of the helmet with one of those powerful rare earth magnets is awesome. There is no way to get em attached wrong as they line up perfectly every time. Hopefully I can get some snow and snap some good final reveal pics. Then, its time to dress the man-at.
