Why Master Psyclone you are most gracious. , my meagre offerings are but an omeba on the germ that insfests the armpit of the grungemuite that feeds off the underbelly of the flea that resides on the poo that is being eaten by the of the dung beetle when compared with your fine, fine work. But heh, the Landing pad is quite cool.

Actually your Tower base and Josh's Imperial Platform (link: http://www.yakfaceforums.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3785 ) are my favourite creations I've seen anywhere. I particularly loved the detailing around your tower, I must say that it puts mine to shame, it must have taken you ages.

I have got plans for a small Speederbike garage and chickenwalker platform which I started a while ago but has been sidelined for the photonovel, I'll probably get it started again afterthe next chapter is complete.

Thanks for your post, and it's really great to see you here.

All the best,

Jules

That is one mean looking craft. And a nice fighter escort.
Kinda looks like a Landing Shuttle on steroids.
Great work and it is well worth the wait.

Yea I love that shuttle, here's the follow up image...

In the shot you can just make out Emissary Zaxxon Krief (another new character).

Now that is outstanding. Nice combination of aspects from other ships to make one really cool one.
And really puts the size of the ship right into perspective. comparing sizes of ships and surroundings.
Oh the pain of waiting....

I have to let you into a little secret, I didn't design the ship... It's a ship that was used in the fan film Star Wars Revelation, if you've never seen it, you must, the special effects are as good as you'll see in any Star Wars film. The acting leaves a bit to be desired, still most of it's better than Episode 2. A must see...

Dowbnload the full movie here: http://www.panicstruckpro.com/revelations/

Just to give credit where credit is due my image above was the combination of 3 elemets, 2 background images created by other artists and my own figures. All I do is photoshop the elements together to create the look I want. Here are the original images:

Just as a little treat, I'll let you have a peek at a small selection of some of the interesting images I've found for ships that I intend using later on in the novel (yes, this novel is going to go on for a while yet...

I've always loved spacecraft designs and I''m going to try to incorporate craft that are not seen in the movies as much as possible, just to give the novel an extended universe feel.

The winged shuttle is an awesome design, some of the work done on Revelations even surpasses some of the visions seen in the Star Wars saga. I also particularly like the Jedi Corvette, I think I'm going to use it as Commodore Vasq's private transport. I'll call it the " Belligerent"  or something like that...

In conclusion, there is so much talent out there and Mr. Lucas has certainly inspired many to create wonderful things..

Don't got far away, my Chill Out room is full of surprises... ;D

I really like the Benton stuff. Those curved wing craft are very nicely designed.

Why go through life base fig, when you can customize?

My post seems to be moving in all directions right now, it's kind of gone off the rails as far as Dioramas go, but it saves clogging up the forum with lots of posts here and there.

My good friend Ron Foskett is working on the Spectre, poor man, I bet he didn't realise what he would be letting himself in for when he offered to do some free CGI stuff for me. He's not really a Star Wars fan, but he seems to be getting giddy about this little project.

I've been HangarBaying his 3d images and this is what we are up to with the Spectre...

I must say that she's got a very British Sci-fi feel to her, and she looks as though she's come from a great Space Opera. Although she's not really a true Star Wars design, there is something very Cinamatic about her...

I'll keep the updates coming.
