R4-M1 was an R4-series agromech droid that was present inside the Jedi Temple around 21 BBY. When Anakin Skywalker and Mace Windu were trapped on the Endurance at Vanqor, R2-D2 rushed into the Temple to play their distress message, jostling the R4 unit as he sped past. It was seen with an unidentified blue R5 unit. It was later seen aboard CC-3636's transport during the Mission to Aleen and then on Adi Gallia's flagship during the Battle of Patitite Pattuna, and was able to escape the cruiser before it exploded.  We even spotted this droid smashing into the wall of a home located in a village ravaged by Maul and Savage in the season finale for Season Four of the show.

R4-M1 was the droid equivalent to Pune Zignat in The Clone Wars television series.  The droid can be seen numerous times in the background of many episodes.  A frequently used character asset, I have been wanting to make this droid for quite a long time now.  To create the figure, I used the lower half of the The Clone Wars R7-D4 and the head of a Build A Droid R4-J1.

Too fun! Good eye catching all those sightings of the droid. The paint job is great.

Elias thanks you both!

If someone asked me a few months ago, if I planned on making the Nik Sant action figure anytime soon, my answer most likely would have been, no.  Maybe at some point I would have gotten to it, but because of a comment Star Wars Rebels producer Dave Filoni made back in March of this year in which he stated that Captain Rex was the white bearded Endor Rebel soldier that we watched in Return of the Jedi, once affectionately referred to as Nik Sant by fans due to his resemblance to Saint Nick; suddenly, the desire to create this version of him in plastic shot right to the top of the list of things I wanted to get done!

Rex was one of the coolest characters to come out of The Clone Wars television series.  The idea that Rex lived to fight on Endor and had front row seats to the destruction of the second Death Star just warms the heart.

I actually bid on an action figure version of him on eBay right after the story dropped. The price went over a $100, and I gracefully bowed out knowing I could make a No-Paint-Kit-Bash replica that was exactly like the one in the auction for about $40.  Maybe even for less if I still had some of the parts I needed in my fodder.

To make this custom action figure, I used the hat and body of the 1st Release 2010 Star Wars Vintage Collection - Return Of The Jedi  Endor Rebel Soldier. The vest and backpack I grabbed off an extra 1st version of the Endor Rebel Soldier from the 2002 Star Wars Return Of The Jedi SAGA collection. Lastly, the head I popped off the Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - Templar Knight action figure.

All it took was a wardrobe change and headswap to make this great looking figure!

Okay that's just brilliant! Thanks for the recipe too. I might just have to "borrow" it for my own version. The Grail Knight's head really works well for this figure. Kudos.

Great work Brian, thanks for sharing the recipe!  :) I already have a cardback design finished for him, not sure about the name designation now, though.

Revisited two older figures that annoyed me every time I looked at them.  I finally put these two to bed.  Readjusted the headsculpt on Bo Katan and on Ione Marcy.  Also made adjustments to Ione Marcy's torso and gave her knee articulation too.

Bo and Ione both look really good (I like the freckles on Bo-Katan). Thanks again for the recipe on ROTJ commando Rex too - I had the parts in my fodder tote and built one for myself:)

Loving the CW customs. You're giving me some ideas!

Hasbro really dropped the ball on this line, IMO. Had so much potential for some interesting characters.
