Great looking figure. Was that head completely sculpted? Great looking figure.

No just from the ears back and all the hair.  I may redo the face at a later time.

Recently Dad was asked to do a commission of a Clone Wars Chancellor Palpatine.  Dad currently doesn't take on any commissions, but Dad thought that maybe I was capable of making the figure if I decided I wanted to give it a try. At the time I backed out of the commission feeling way too intimidated, but I still wanted to see if it was something I could do.

I used the body from the "Attack of the Clones" Palpatine with head and neck casts of the Clone Wars Darth Sidious without his hood on. Because Dad had molded the head, I didn't have to be afraid of ruining it if my sculpted hair didn't turn out well.  If I messed up, I could just make another.

Cool thing is, I got it right on my first try and got this figure done in just 4 hours!

I'm so glad that I just jumped right back into sculpting. Completing a second sculpting project, less than a week from finishing my first sculpt, really solidified my confidence in myself as a sculptor after observing such successful results.

This action figure creation was a pretty easy to make.  I just grabbed a super articulated Greedo action figure and dressed it up with a repainted vest of a Vintage Hoth Leia that had it's collar modified to be a bit taller and thicker with the assistance of a little Green Stuff.  With Toryn Farr being released in Wave 5 of The Black Series this June, making a Beedo will be even easier with the use of her vest instead.  Just another quick an easy custom to diversify your Jabba diorama.

Beedo is one of two identical Rodians visible in the throne room of Jabba's palace. Beedo was a Rodian bounty hunter in the employ of Jabba the Hutt. He was a member of the Tetsu Clan and a cousin of Greedo.

This custom action figure was just a simple repaint of an ARC Trooper Blitz created by Hasbro.  I used the head of the Fives action figure that came in the Battle Pack with the Echo.  The neck peg hole in the Fives head was exactly the same size as the one for the ARC Trooper helmet so no modification was needed.  This is only the second clone custom that I've ever done.  Usually you'll find me making an action figure of some strange alien, but after watching Season 6 of The Clone Wars, I felt his character deserved an action figure standing alongside the rest of Elias' action figure collection  from The Clone Wars TV series.

Thanks Ron.  Clones aren't an area where I have really excelled.  It's an area I've explored very little.  I made one for Lucasclones a few years ago and this is the only one I did since then.   You're feedback on my weathering was just what I needed to hear.  I was really trying to strike a good balance.

Good looking Trooper. While I was watching the season I don't know how many Clones I saw I thought would be no brainers for Hasbro to make. Fives was definitely one of em. Off to the front page.

Darthdaddy you are an inspiration. I've been trying to get my hands on an Arc Trooper to do this, hard to lock one down for a decent price. I really loved Domino squad, when Fives was finally put down it hurt. Great to see him in all his glory like Hasbro should have made him.
