I thought I recognized the Thing from first glance and it was just the perfect base for this one. Great work. Off to share.

This is an action figure that I created with two Shahan Alama action figures and some Clone Wars Quinlan Vos hands. First I modified the boots with some green stuff. Made them flap over at the top. I repainted the arms, legs, and torso. I also repainted the hat, cummerbund and the shoulder armor too. I used a scrap of dried flat green stuff, cut it into shape, and glued it below the ears to modify the Shahan Alama figure so he wore a bandana. I used the blue gloved forearm from two Shahan Alama figures to do his forearms. I couldn't use the Shahan Alama hand because he only had one regular hand to work with. The Clone Wars Quinlan Vos action figure supplied the perfect replacements. I didn't want to see the extra heads go to waste and this was a great way to give them some use. When I saw him on the show and I saw I had the parts to do it, I figured it was meant to be.

Great looking figure. Love the bandana, and the Quinlan Vos hands blend in seamlessly.

This pirate was actually made by Elias. I spent the weekend working on a new unnanounced work in progress that I just finished the sculpt work on. Hopefully I will have the new figure painted up by the end of this week, or the beginning of next week, but Elias was the one who made the new pirate with the bandana for this week's post. Pretty cool that he has gotten so good that his work is being mistaken as my own. Maybe I can finally retire from customizing action figures and Elias can do the blog on his own.

Had to get caught up with your excellent work, buddy. Love that Verpine Jedi and the heavy Weequay pirate. That's some tough looking fella! Also great work on articulating 8D8. Kinda funny, since it hardly moves in the movie
Clone '99' is pretty cool as well. He reminds me a lot of Ephialtes from '300'.

DarthDaddy - I agree with you about 99, I thought his story added some humanity to The Clone Wars. Nice job on the sculpting, this must have been challenging. Great custom of a very special character.
