Professor Huyang turned out great.
3D printing is a real enrichment for our hobby.
Excellent work

I predict the genie is about to be let out. It's inevitable that somebody next will fan-make 3D-print models of other Star Wars characters in 3.75" scale. Current home 3D printers have become good enough to do this.

I agree. The technology is just getting better and better and the printers cheaper and I could see savvy folks just making what they want. It is gonna be quite the revolution.

Huyang is absolutely phenomenal! This was a great build and shows what can be done by a highly committed group of hobbyists working together. Great job on all the finish work from painting to greeblies!

Thank you all! I agree that 3D printing opens up a lot more possibilities. I actually installed a design program onto my computer after I wrapped up the Huyang project. I still need a day to try it out though. Free time is in short supply. That is why I have so many figures to post today. I have barely had time to get our finished pieces up on our own blog with trying to bring "Customizing The Clone Wars" to a close.

Here is what we have been up to...

Wow, some great customs here. Let me take these to the front page. I imagine how good those Sisters would love on a vintage cardback. Great work Elias!

Love the dark Yoda too. Off to share.

All of them are good.

The Tonnika Sisters are amazing!
Usually, they’re green and blue carbon copies.
These have different height, but more importantly, they look like the real actresses
Excellent sculpting and painting, but......

Love Dark Yoda!

Makes me want to see if TCW is still on Netflix.

I agree with Sjekfe - I love the dark Yoda, that's a great build. The Tonnika sisters are absolutely amazing - I'm really impressed. They reflect the characters on screen really well. Kudos!

Thanks for the positive feedback on our recent customs!

This action figure of the Master Codebreaker from The Last Jedi was my birthday present to Elias this year. It is a 100% sculpted action figure. The base head was from a completely resculpted ROTS Obi-Wan Kenobi action figure head. The body was the ROTJ Vintage Collection Luke Skywalker (Endor) action figure that I sculpted onto with Procreate. I even made his silver and gold dice to throw.

Thank you both! I may tweak the head a bit more. I worked on this custom with Elias the weekend after doing The Master Codebreaker.

This was an action figure that we threw together on the fly in between working on other projects. Dad bored out the head of the Darth Vader and used a hot knife to achieve a precise cut in Vader's helmet. I took an Anakin Skywalker action figure and created a press mold of his face with some ProCreate, waited for it to dry, and then poured some liquid resin into my press mold. Once the cast solidified, we cut the cast to shape, painted in all the details, inserted the piece into our newly created hole carved into Vader's head and glued it into place.

That is a fabulous build. Its a really nice collaboration, and some amazing technique to fit that face into the helmet.
