I made the mask. I fused together the upper portion of a clone trooper helmet with the lower portion of a mandalorian helmet, then created all the details out of styrene strip. Nothing of the original helmets is really visible on the mask except for the top rim of the visor, and the forehead. Check out my blog, I explain it all there.

Very nice work! That mask looks perfect! You can tell lots of love was put into this piece of art. All the small details have truly paid off in the end. The metal rings, soft goods, mask, and paint work = realism and this doesn't look like a 3 3/4 inch figure. Very nice indeed.

GI Joe Codename: Beach Head Modern Warfare Edition

Hey Yarders, I'm back. It's been awhile since I've posted anything new, but that doesn't mean that I haven't been hard at work! Two huge projects are currently underway: a twenty figure series in the Marvel Universe ( I just completed number eleven) and a ten figure series in the GI Joe Universe (four are done so far, with two large custom vehicles on the workbench as well!). This is my take on a modern warfare version of Beach Head. I really enjoyed outfitting this guy with weapons and gear, and I especially enjoyed painting the camo on his pants (my first attempt at camo patterns). Anyway, leave your comments of props, criticisms, advice or questions. I love hearing from everyone. Enjoy!!!

Nice way to return after a bit of a break...this is a great look for Beachhead.  The camo turned out very nice: not as "out there" as some, definitely a more subtle pattern and color choices.  I like that!

Light side, dark side...meh.  Just give me a lightsaber and a blaster and I'll take care of it!

Love the beach head (just watched GI Joe Retaliation tonight for the 2nd time with the kids).

Question: Is it an artistic choice not to paint and detail his weapon?

Why go through life base fig, when you can customize?

No, not really an artistic choice, more of just laziness. He's going into a larger project, and as that progresses I'll probably go back and paint his guns and knives.

What's up yarders! I'm back after spending many months creating my custom Joe team and an Avengers team as well. I'll be releasing photos of both teams in small increments periodically, so stay tuned! First up, Snake Eyes and Scarlett. Ever since Tankster posted his personal collection Snake Eyes months back, I was totally jealous and had to make one of my own! So, this version of Snake Eyes is definitely inspired by his rendition. I wanted to do a modern version of Scarlett, make her look really badass. This is what I came up with. Let me know what you think, I love hearing from everyone!
