Thanks everyone, I am pretty happy with how it is coming along. I have it disassembled and cleaned for spraying, but the weather isn't cooperating.

WOW! This is a beauty! I am loving this build! The greeblie and plating work is just superb. This looks like something the Empire would have built. Can't wait to see a primer coat on this thing!

Thank you, that is high praise IMO because I look at your work for inspiration for bits, "greeblies" like you said, and good ways to use them. You have a brilliant grasp of the visual composition of ships, speeders, dios, etc, and I have looked at your vehicles often to get a good idea of balance of bits, bashing and styrene. Thanks!!!

Well, like i said, i can't spray, so i might as well keep building. I am calling this tank a Scout Crawler. It is based on a vehicle Ken Pruitt made that was in Tomart's like 15 years ago. The 2 issues that his work was shown in were my inspiration to get into Star wars customs back in the late 90's, I still have ideas looking at his work that I would love to make. I just found those issues again recently, the same week I got a junker AT-ST in an eBay lot. I had always wanted to do this, but in all these years, i never got around to it.

His was just an AT-ST head on the vintage HISS tracks, I took it a little further by using part of the lower body of the Hiss and building a tank "box" around it to hang some armor from. There is still a lot work to do, but it is off to a decent start. It looks a lot lot bulkier than Ken's vehicle, but I am hoping that will die down a bit once it is painted.

Looks like a good multi purpose vehicle to me. Could be used for towing a howitzer or a fueling tank while blasting away at those annoying ewoks at the same time.
This one is pretty cool.

Wow, love this build. I like the dozer blade protecting the front of the tracks. Off to the front page. Heck it all works. I don't think it looks clunky at all. I hope the weather is too bad to spray today too.

I also love Clint's idea of towing something, like a howitzer ion cannon or perhaps a command and control trailer of some sort. Reminds me of the German WWII Panzer Groups that had something similar. Couldn't you see ole Veers riding in this when he wasn't in his favorite AT-AT!

Thanks Tamer and Clonehead!!!! I appreciate the attention and comments.

So, the past week had a couple days with higher temps (50+ Fahrenheit) and I got a couple primary coats on my transport. I also got some additional styrene work done on my Scout Crawler.

First, the transport, in a neutral gray, not a primer per se but Tamiya AS-2 as a base coat....

and the crawler, with a rear gunner pod, and the top bits recut and new parts added

I really love the transport! Lots of good details!

Why go through life base fig, when you can customize?

Wow, it has been over a year since I made any progress on my old vehicles. The transport and the scout crawler are still sitting in a bin in the same state. So, the last thing I should do is start something new. Which is exactly what I have done.

This ship was inspired by a similar ship Luke Sprywalker did. The pics of his ship popped up recently on facebook and I could not stop staring at it. It was bizarre, it looked awkward, asymmetrical, cobbled together, AND QUINTESSENTIALLY STAR WARS. It looked like it could have been parked next to any outer rim garage. Genius. So I started on something similar to it. I have a back story for it in the works.

And now this came about by accident. I had an idea to make the Retaliation Cobra HISS tank into a Mech, so I pulled out some AT-AP legs...and found out they fit into the sockets on the side of the HISS (and the POC HISS) with no modification. Just pops in. So, everyone feel free to have fun with that.

That light freighter so reminds me of the Twilight from TCW. It looks great. A new version of a SW Ugly in a B-Wing style.

Wow, what a great revelation on those HISS and the AT-AP legs. Very cool. Reminds me of a mechwarrior I always used back in the day when I had time to play video games.

Neat stuff. Off to share.
