Topic: Apple site compatibility. iPad iMac MacBook etc

My windows netbook took a nosedive courtesy of the youngest childs obsession with the cooling fan lap tray and I'm considering an apple product.
Already own an iPod touch and 2x iPhones now I'm considering doing away with the older phone,the dead laptop and buying an iPad with wifi and cellular.

Now I've tried uploading photo's via iPhone to no avail,so the reason I'm posting this is to find out any site compatibility issues between the ISY forum and apples various operating systems before shelling out any cash. Currently in 2 minds between a MacBook air or an iPad 4.

I used to have an iPhone 4, and had no problem with accessing or using the site at all, so you should be good with either.

Did you manage to upload photos from your iPhone 4 to the site?

With my phone I can use the site fine,started this topic using it,I can reply to posts,send Pm's etc I just wish I could attach photos directly from the iPhone library. Would be a lot easier than taking the pics,transferring them to the laptop.......resizing,cropping rotating etc.

I thought that I had done it a couple of times, but now I'm not 100% sure.  I'll pull it back out, connect to WiFi, and try again.

I just bought an iPad 2 and it doesn't allow uploads on IOS 5.0.1.........iPad 3 in the store did but that had IOS 6.0.1,I think mine needs software updating

Aha.......iPad now on iOS 6 and the attach tab gives the option to chose file........from iPad library or take photo and use that.

Prior to iOS 6 the tab is blank,dark and non functional. Back in business

(Noticed now the pic is in need of rotation,more testing needed)

Still having some rotation troubles,but its easier than taking the pics.......uploading to the laptop,rotating them,resizing them under 250kb every time.

I take a pic and upload with the iPad,if it's wrong it only takes a minute to rotate it and my pics don't all need resizing. Much better,thanks and hopefully this will be helpful to other mac users.

Right then...Tamer......I think I've sussed it out.

iPad on iOS 6 works sweet as a nut,likely to work on iPod touch and iPhones running latest software also.

Take your photos and save them to the device's album,trying to take a pic and upload directly while posting gives rotation and occasional kb oversizing problems.
Go into the album and select the image to upload.
Click edit and rotate either 90 or 180 degrees and save......isn't important first rotation.
Select edit again and rotate until image is the right way up......and save again.
(May seem a drag but its quicker than taking pics,upload to computer,edit rotation and size in a photo editor then search the file to upload)

Doing it this way in the device album will set photo's the right way up and to the correct size to upload 4 pics at a time every time.
