r1bbit, the helmet mirrors the colours of the trousers and boots. I just gave the stock helmet a slight drybrush which doesn't show too well in the photographs.
I'll see if I can take some more detailed shots later.

The carbine is an ARC Trooper rifle on which I cut off the stock and glued the stock of a GI Joe Heavy Duty grenade launcher. The end of the shoulder sling was then re-attached to the new stock. If you like, I'll try to take a good pic of the carbine, too.

What, you haven't read Order66 yet?
I'm not going to spoil your read here, just telling you that you won't be disappointed.
It's a great wrapup of the Clone Wars, but Karen left herself enough opportunities for at least half a dozen novels picking up the semi-loose ends.
I've picked one small detail in Order66 up for my Cuy'val Dar, the note that General Zey issued a call to the further Cuy'val Dar to come to Coruscant and train able White Jobs to become Commandos.

the detailed backgrounds to write for all of your customs are superb.  Nothing beats a nice custom with a great story to go with and flesh the characters/teams/locations out.   I love it, all of it

Okay, it's been a while since I had time to work on a figure, but here's the new guy: Ordo Skirata in Beskar'gam.

You will easily eacognize that he is based on the upper torso and arms of the EVO Jango Fett, the lower torso of a GI Joe ROC Snake Eyes and the legs of a GI Joe ROC Heavy Duty.

More to come soon...

dang, you beat me to it... I've been waiting to get a new style evo jango and boba to do exactly that modification

did you just graft them together like normal (like in my tutorial) or did you adjust the lower joe torso to make it fit?  does he still have the jointed chest/gut?

The Joe joint pin fits the Jango torso nicely.
I shortened the Snake Eyes abdomen a bit and glued the pin onto it so I could keep the joint functional.
Had I wanted to drop that joint, I simply could have glued torso and abdomen together, too.

hmm so you did trim the torso to make it fit better... hmm I was hoping you wouldn't have to do that.

I hope I come across the new wave of figs and get an evo style boba to try this...

IMO you have to shorten the abdomen (make a four-pack out of the six-pack) because otherwise the upper body will sit way too high and the figure looks out of proportion.
You could dremel out the upper body, though, and fit it over the abdomen instead of on top of it.
This might give the appearance of armor worn over a flightsuit.

hmm I wonder if you used a cobra comander or another of the lower torso joint figures if they would fit better iwthout the adjusting?  That's probably what I'll try...

That's quite possible.
Go ahead and try it with other parts and we can compare pics side by side.
