CK,

I love the latest custom, you have got a great combo there...I'm looking forward to seeing how it comes on.

Okay, here we go.
I didn't end up using the legs I started with as, of course, the softgoods kama would hide the dropleg holster on his right thigh.
So I used a different pair of legs and a separate gun belt.

I'll do some touchups later tonight and the clear varnish tomorrow when the paint is thoroughly dry.

Yes! That looks hella cool, Volker. I love the kama. where did that belt come from?
This looks like a front pager for sure!

Front Page?
Wow, I didn't expect that.

The gun belt is from a Terminator series John Connor figure. They were marked down at the TRU so I couldn't resist as I liked the gunbelt...

lol its nice to get fodder on sale.

looks good ck.  I realy love the look of that removable armor over the joe figures! i realy need to figure out a good way to cast that up, it's on my to do list of items to make resin dupes of....

as for the helmet... unless your trying to be reminescent of jango I would have used a different accent color other than blue, or done the helmet in a different pattern...  BUT either way the custom looks great!  what does the head underneath the helmet and the body beneath the armor look like?!

I knew you'd be asking about the head, Spud.
It's an EVO Jango head which -surprise, surprise- fits beautifully on the EVO Jango upper body.
So this time the armor is molded with the torso, not a separate piece.

I wanted this figure to portray Ordo Skirata post-(Clone)War so I went for the classic Jango basic look. I thought about accenting him in red, but the black/red combo has been flogged to death on my 175th SOG customs so I chose blue.

my bad... I should have paid more attention! I should have realized that wasn't the removable armor and it was that jango piece!  ::) put an L on my forehead....

it still looks great!

I love Karen Traviss' books, love the Mando lore and culture and what she brought to the SW universe.. with that, I had to say thank you for bringing some of those characters into figure form... I don't do many custom figures now-a-days.. mainly cause as soon as I get 90% done, Hasbro releases it, lol.. but one group I really want to make and plan on are the characters in her books.. I was about to say "main" characters, but to be honest, they're all "main" in my eyes... Thanks again and keep up the awesome... I mean Kandosii'customs!

Thanks for the praise, but check out Clonehead, Wraithnine and the other guys who do real killer paintjobs which mine will never match.

Never say Never, Volker. You have shown us some great stuff and the customs board wouldn't be the same without your beauties gracing it. Keep making those customs dude. I am ready to see the next of your creations.

Will do, Clint.
With a bit of luck I'll have time to paint up my next figure on Saturday.
I'll keep 'em coming!
