First off, I would like to thank theSpectre for pointing out where I could find these so early in the game. That's right, Target coporate, My joe dollar went to K-Mart tonight as they are putting em out while my Target stores at Blue Springs, Belton, and Lee's Summit are refusing to until the wave 1 figures set at clearance clear out, dpci in hand or not. clonehead@imperialshipyards.net is where you can reach me if you care to apologize.
OK, Target rant out of the way, on to the figure
Now I was excited after all of the toy fair images to get my hands onto these 3rd wave figures and while i was able to snag all of em, Lady Jaye here is the first one to warrant a review.
First off, lets talk about her pack-ins, holy crap, look at all of these pack-ins. These alone are worth the $9.99 price point. It seems too expensive to add in a bad part to the new star wars line but look at the crazy stuff happening here! I think that the pack-ins of two or three of these figures could be well considered an arsenal. I could barely get em all to fit in my hand for that one shot
you got:
a cool strapped backpack
2 sub machine guns
2 automatic rifles with more detailed paint apps
3 knifes
the crazy spear gun
a bazooka
a bazooka round carrying backpack with 4 removable rounds "i believe these were steel brigade items"
Man, i have been collecting and butchering figures for years and I'm not sure that my weapon fodder bin has better stuff than this
Now for the figure
Her body is a repaint of the renegades scarlett figure with a different head. I always thought that sculpt looked a bit hippy and seems even more so with this deco but, hey, not every joe can have a killer body and it almost seems more realistic this way.
Articulation
ball jointed head, shoulders, elbows, torso, hips, with the always nice double jointed knees and those crazy rocker jointed ankles. Her wrists only have the single joint but other figures from this wave have the clone wars wave 1 style double jointed ones. All in all, good articulation.
What the heck bad could I say about this figure? She could look ugly as hell or have crap articulation and those pack-ins would still be worth it. Good articulation, great pack-ins, Sold! Thanks Hasbro, and , thank you K-Mart, for making my night, the night before my birthday. "oops, it's past midnight, damn, I just got a year older"
