I asked my oldest to look through the entries and he likes sten-hunter's the best.  I think he likes it most because it is so different... lol  he's already seen mine and dawns over and over again... AND doc's bike is similar to one i've already done... and ribit's is still very much like a regular speeder.  OF course that doesn't mean he didn't like the others too, there was alot of ooing and aweing coming from him on everyone's entry!

Sten Hunter:
DANG man.... my only question is if you planned from the beggining for the rider not to be a "clone" or if you had to make up that story to go along with what figure you had on hand (I find myself doing the latter all the time!).

Good question, it was a little bit of both. Early on I had thought about doing the head swap, but got side tracked with building the speeder. After I started getting deeper into working the figure I realized that I liked the idea of keeping the original head on there. Perhaps in the end it was a bit of me not wanting to do the extra work... However, I think the back story makes more sense. At some point the GAR would have needed non clones in combat roles more and more towards the end of the war.

I had just finished reading one of the SW clone wars comics that had the battle of Kamino and thought that had the Republic lost an entire generation of clones than the war would have been over. Seeing that, the Emperor put plans in to start using normal humans in combat roles, slowing replacing the Clone army with non clones.

I could go on all day thought :P

Why go through life base fig, when you can customize?

I have made a thread where you can view all of the entries on one page, here. At the top of this thread, I have placed a poll where all registered members may vote for one of the entries. The poll lasts for 7 days. Good luck to all of the contestants.

Yeah, the last time the admin voted on something, it came down to a tiebreaker and since there are only 5-6 of us and there were 6 entries, it was felt that it would be more fair for everyone to vote. Also, the decision was a toughie as there were some great entries.

That being said, get your votes in, folks...........it's up to you.

Pete, I meant to ask earlier - how did you make the seat on your bike?  I have a two-rider idea for a swoop and I wanted a seat-back like yours but was at a loss on how to pull it off.
