New listings, CLEAR resin parts lots!!!!
« on: May 28, 2013, 06:20:47 PM »
I've got 3 large lots up for sale on e-bay.  These are my cast resin parts, not top quality, but they are good enough IMO.  I use these on my own customs and would find ways to make them work, so I think anyone here should be able to do the same!

I've got 3 listings atm:

First up:  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181149330999

This is a lot of 100 backpacks, pouches, shoulder pauldrons, and lots of other stuff!

Second up:  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181149341798

Mainly spare War Machine weapons with a few iron man heads and B.A.T. gi-joe parts thrown in for good measure.

and lastly:  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181149347903

Helmets!  Assorted variety of star wars and gi-joe. Some are removable, others aren't.

What you see is what you get.   Decent quality, and priced to move...   I'm in a bad spot financially atm and I need just a tad bit of cash to make the bills this month, so if you guys aren't interested please share this around to anyone who might be.  I don't like selling stuff anymore because it can be such a hassle... but unfortunately if things don't get any better for me I might be selling off more than just spare parts!  thanks!

Time to get this on the front page. Maybe we can help you get a good price on these.

Thanks for the promo.  I didn't expect that, but it's much appreciated.  I plan on trying to get a few more lots like these finished up within the next week or so... so I'll post any other auctions here.

Not a problem. We all know how it feels to be strapped for cash sometimes.

Thanks to all those who may have been interested in these!  I got more than what I wanted to out of them...  Hopefully in the next few weeks I will produce another few lots until I run out of resin!

Hey guys.  Been working on these lots for a week or so now.  These clear resin parts take 24 hours to cure in the molds so it's a lot longer a process to get these produced.  I'm not planning on taking special orders of these... but if there is enough interest I might decide to start taking orders for a few of the clear resin parts since I don't think many people offer them.

Take a look at these orders:

here are some pictures of the clear parts on figures to give you an idea of what they look like unpainted:

They aren't perfect.  They have some inclusions of air bubbles and a few voids here and there.  But for the most part the clear resin actually makes better casts because of the longer cure time.  Most of the larger air bubbles make their way out of the mold and the cast comes out with less issues than the faster curing resin I normally use.

Also, the clear resin can be painted with transparent paints to achieve some really cool looking effects.  Helmets and Goggles are my favorite things to cast in the clear resin, but the other parts look cool in it too.

I hope you guys like these... it's difficult for me to justify getting rid of these because they do take so much more time and effort to make (and I want to use them on my own customs! lol)
