Hey Yarders.
This one is a bit of departure for me.  A JTA buddy of mine lives in Ohio and was interested in a custom Stormie.
Apparently, there's a guy in Cincinatti who loves his Bengals and his Star Wars.
The result was a Mash-up mascot, the Bengal Trooper

I tried to talk him into a 6 inch Stormie, but he insisted on a 12 inch figure ... with 5POA.
;)  You're my bud, PaulB, so here you are.

After some masking tape over the eyes and blue stripes of the helmets jowls (the Bengal Trooper did the same thing), I spray painted with Fusion orange.  Then I free handed the other black details.  I made a copy of the B for Bengals logo and pinned thru the paper onto his chest. Then I free hand painted over the little dots.  I finished up with a clear coat after some touching up.

Has anyone on ISY customized a shampoo bottle yet?
This mash-up stuff seems like the best use of these figures to me.  As a matter of fact,  when those big Rebels vehicles go on sale, I'm gonna go to town.

Niiiiiice

I'm more of a Browns fan but the Cincitrooper is kewl to. There used to be a guy in NewOrleans who wore his Saint color-schemed Jangofett/mandolorian gear to each Saints game up until a year or so ago when he passed of cancer.

Glad to see Football and Starwars still has someone carrying the torch.

I just googled Ohio State football stormtroopers and saw this guys blog it has the bengal trooper in it to...lol
http://delusionsofgrandeur-jaiy.blogspot.com/2011/12/stormtroopers-of-earth.html

However Google's showing TONS of custom Football team stormtroopers from Tenn. to Pittsburgh Steelers to my very own Ohio State Buckeyes!, customs of some of these sometime would be awesome... but probably a little pricey unless commisioned however.. as Ohio State just won the National Title ... i'm sure it'd sell...

hell the local dispatch's paper in columbus were going for $300-$400 a paper if you could find one...lol

OMG!   I haven't posted anything new in 6 months.  I haven't been idle but real life has been in the way of customizing.  Not all of it was work.  8,  and I have managed to finish a few projects, finally.  I regret my challenge vehicle is nowhere near ready for showing.

Here's a WIP on a side project I started while on vacation.   I picked up a POTF2 Yakface on eBay.  The original figure lacks detail,  but the form of the head is pretty good.  It's mostly hidden below the overstated whiskers.  Well I gave him a shave and whittled in some detail.   When I got home, I did some dremeling, sanding and some cautious painting.
I like how this is turning out.  Since I haven't posted anything in so long, I thought I'd share some WIPs. Of course he'll have an SA body and some more supple whiskers eventually.

More WIPs are coming as well as a few finished projects.
Thanks Yarders
Have fun at Comic Con if you're lucky (crazy) enough to be there.
Pray for SA 3.75.

That's going to be fantastic!
I dabble in the Star Wars Universe of Toys... I rip apart little plastic people and turn them into other plastic people. Sometimes I take pictures of them and post them.

Thanks Stan, AJ, MJ1977 and Tamer.
I do meed to post more stuff.  I've not been idle, but I good start a thread on how not to make molds and casts.  Boy, is there a learning curve on that skill.  I could show you a BaD astromech that looks like he almost survived a supernova explosion.
Anyway, ill post more soon.

I know I can speak for us all when I say we would love to read more about molding and casting. I know there is a huge learning curve there.
