Cool figure! the belt and custom soft goods on the red witch is very nicely done.
Thanks JDeck
I manage to cut straighter, more even edges using paper than by sculpting. I don't know how some customizers manage detailing sword pommels and the like. I'm staining my eyes with 2.5x magnifiers as it is.
Wow, what great use of that mask, never thought to shave it down, and put it on another figure. The cloak is pretty rad too, sewing is overrated, and I think fabric glue works better in most cases anyway.
Thanks Mandalore25
Shaving the mask took a bit of time with a dremel tool. While the mask does fit on the head cast, it has a tendency to scratch the paint off the nose. Wish I'd taken better close-ups.
Also, I wish I had taken pics of how the cloak opens. The rare earth magnets are hidden in the fabric and work like snaps.
Regarding the fabric glue, I brush on a very small amount on both surfaces that I want to attach. I let it set for about 2 minutes and then use it like contact cement. It works pretty fast that way and you can still make minor adjustments before it completely cures. I also painted a little on the cut edges of the fabric to keep it from fraying.
