That looks nothing short of sensational. If I didn't know any better, I'd never have guessed this is a Hasbro toy in the first place. Absolutely stunning work. Right down to the little spots of paint wear on the canopy. Awesome.

MANY THANKS for your great comments guys  0/

...and Shawn: ...really no problem...sometimes (only sometimes) other things will be much more important than Star Wars toys or a forum... ;)

As promised here's the Youtube video of this model:

I've also added some comparison pictures of my conversion with the "out of the box" model and the EFX Studio Scale model:

It is amazing what you have made with a sloppy detailed Hasbro product.
This is the perfect X-Wing.

WOW! It so beautiful! As everyone has said, simply stunning that this started as the Hasbro toy. Mighty fine work.

Class act all the way.  They look like high-end, Master Replicas versions...but with better paint.  Your photography is breathtaking as well.

Many, many thanks for your great comments  0/

@the kit fisto: The "new" cockpit is made from 1mm styrene. For some of the details I've used part of "old" kits (kit bashing) and the engine-mesh is a piece of real Koolshade.

The next Hasbro converison will be a B-Wing and/or a Y-Wing...

[MAXX Replicas] LANDSPEEDER V2 with Tatooine mini-dio - 04/26/14
« Reply #89 on: April 26, 2014, 05:15:08 AM »
Here's my second LANDSPEEDER mod (V2.0  ;)) now with a Tatooine mini-diorama.

This was also commision project. I modified the front damage, made a repaint, added real metal grids at the engines and made
a fibre optic cockpit illumination. The illumination works with 2 AA batteries. The on/off switch is in the center console of the model.

Many more pics here:  http://maxx-replicas.jimdo.com/projekte-2011-2014/landspeeder-v2/

This and other customs will be shown on the "REBEL CON IV" in Gelsenkirchen/Germany on May, 17th 2014 (http://www.rebelcon.de)
