Recipe is incredibly simple, just the AT-DP driver from the new Rebels series, with relevant bits trimmed off and dremeled out, and the K-Mart AT-ST driver from a few years back with the harness removed. Hollowed the gloves a bit to shorten the forearm, and drilled a small hole within to accept the peg that's already present on the forearms.
The removable faceplate happened almost by accident while dremeling the helmet, as the neck post socket/faceplate is actually an insert within the helmet (much like the head on Agent Kallus). Just takes a tiny bit of extra loosening once the helmet is dremeled, no cutting required.
The armor fit is a bit tight, but doable, with a bit of extra trimming on the arm holes of the backplate.
I wasn't crazy about the AT-DP driver's boots, as they seem more cartoony than the rest of the figure, and have no ankle articulation. I think it's acceptable as is, but boots from the snowtrooper/AT-AT driver of your choice are a bit more screen-accurate. Ball-jointed hips would be nice, though, enabling the driver to mount a speeder bike.
