The Priest—another deep backgrounder from Jabba’s Palace and Sail Barge. There’s a Luke Endor figure under there, head is a 90s Jean Luc Picard cast, boots are cast from a Prince of Persia figure. Custom soft goods, shoulder plaquard, and belt. Thanks to Stan for the pouch sculpt!
I tried something new for the collar/shoulder plaquard that gave a very nice fit. I typically use Moldstar 20T silicone for resin casting. In this case, I drizzled a bit of silicone over Luke’s neck, upper torso, and shoulders, and allowed it to cure.
This left a nonstick surface, over which I could sculpt the piece in Super Sculpey, oven bake the whole thing, and carefully remove. I then molded and resin cast the Sculpey piece. The resulting collar conforms perfectly with just enough room for thin soft goods underneath, and has more durability than the Sculpey. Will definitely be using this technique on future projects.
