Topic: mad as hell about Walmart Exclusives

So today, I ran out to WM to see what there was to see,


I find all the walmart two packs, you know, the ones where you collect all five to make a dark trooper.  I was happy they had all five, when I found all the parts to HK47, I bought them, and I intended to do that again.

Then I did a price check. . . . .


SEVENTEEN DOLLARS EACH?  I'm sorry, but I don't think so, all those figures seems like cast offs, and paying more or at least equal to retail?  And the dark trooper did look nice, but I think I'll pass.

Are the comic packs going to be this outrageous, too?

Wow, that is quite a hefty price for two figures. Things like this are the reason I got out of collecting one each of the new things. I just didn't have the coin to take that kind of damage. And you are right, is it worth almost a hundred bucks for really wanting the new darktrooper? For me the answer to that is no.

The only ones I'm remotely interested in at retail is the Boba/BL-17 pack and I-5QY.  I'd like the new Darktrooper - ok, Brendan would, actually - but I'm not excited about shelling out that much $$ to get one...and Bec gets a discount, but that's not enough to interest me.  I had a hunch they were going to be over $15.

have patience, these will get clearanced out at wally world if they go like last years crop.  Then, you will get em for next to nothing.

I have seen the dark trooper go for $60 on the bay.

my wal mart, if they get em, will clearance em out.  I was still seeing those two packs even a month or so ago. I bet I can find em on clearance. Patience really does favor the SW collector. Besides, Clint will just make us all one. Right Clint?

Perhaps I will approach that casting challenge on a string of rainy days, buddy. Those would be some sizable parts and I would have to take the joints apart to try it. I gotta open them first.

  Do they still have that first wave on clearance at your store, Tamer? If so, how much and could you pick some up for me?

I have also seen auctions for the 5 droids go for $60 so that means that you could make a sale like that and still have the five other figs and the dark trooper for like $15-$20 if you wanted to go that route. I picked em up because I am in kind of a sw buying fever mode, now.
  Imagine how much their other exclusives will go for. you know, the ATST, the O-Droid, and the dew back which we have already heard will go for $25.

I never thought about getting them and selling the droids, that could be fun,

25 for five figures and the dark trooper is a bit more resonable.

is teh dark trooper a better fig than his last incarnation?
