Thank you, Starchaser, DarthSinister and Tamer!

Next up, a couple of simple headswaps (with some dremeling and gluing for good measure). Perhaps I should call these ongoing additions the "Hasbro Should've/Could've Series."

Lastly, an upgrade to the softgoods on Zuckuss...

I agree. that soft goods is especially good on Zuckuss. Off to share yet again on our main pages.

Awesome work on 4-LOM (I'm very old  ;D), a great nod to the Kenner figure.

The headswaps on the Luke figures look great too. Which head did you use?

What material did you use on Zuckus?
I like it.

I also like the Hasbro Shoulda/Coulda idea.  Simple fixes should be a separate thread on ISY with that title.

WANT that C-3PO. A lot of good stuff here.

Thanks I-am-Boba-Fett, Tamer, and halnarthax87!

Mr. Black, the Luke head is the Medical Frigate (bathrobe) figure.

The material on Zuckuss is a faux fashion leather, Sjefke. I think the color is "Nubuck."

I'm in the process of recreating Yerka Mig from the ground up to replace this outdated late-90's custom.

After completing the face paint, I think it's going to end up looking like Sam Jones (1980's Flash Gordon). I guess I'll live with that since I certainly don't want to have to paint a different head.

Trying out a new finishing technique. I know a lot of people use Dull Coat but as I got back into customizing I wanted the pieces to fit in with my off the shelf figures (in so much as is possible). This time around I'm using a brush on matte varnish. Despite it being labeled as "matte," it's not really flat but not as shiny as a gloss finish. Interestingly, some parts of some figures were still slightly tacky feeling - which leads me to my new experimental finishing agent: talcum powder. Now I have a small ziplock bag of talc which a shake any tacky pieces in then brush off the excess. No sticky finish and my finished pieces now smell baby-fresh!

Don't you just hate it when real life interferes with the stuff you want to do? It's the primary reason it takes me so long to finish a custom.
