Barmic's random selection
« on: June 22, 2014, 02:37:30 PM »
Hi Everyone!!

Figured I've been lurking long enough, and it was time to start posting.
First up is two selfie Jedi customs, one is a work in progress Consular based on my SWTOR character, the second one is just in standard garb.
Secondly is a selection of custom droids, HK-50 is unmodded, he's just there as a comparison for the one I'm painting as the meatbag loathing HK-47.
Others are a gunslinger based on the droid mission providing npc on SWTOR during bounty hunting events, an old crotchety butler droid, and a helper/ companion droid for kids.
Finally, a selection of the customs currently on the bench in various states of build, there's A LOT more since I took that picture. Feedback is always appreciated!

Welcome! These WIPs and customs are looking great! Glad you decided to come out of the shadows and show us your great work :) I'm really liking the paint on your HK-47 conversion. Please show us more, and welcome to the forums!

Wow!! Thanks for the welcome, especially going onto the front page!! I'll be posting a few more customs in the coming days. There's a good mix of styles and themes that I hope you guys will enjoy!
In the mean time, here's a few simple ones I'm still working on.
Firstly, a swoop jockey and droid gunslinger (still not found hands I like for him yet).
Secondly, a sith pure blood & imperial inquisitorius.
Finally, a bit more colour variety to my jedi line up.
They're all getting a bit more work to them, whether it's just minor details, or in the case of the Nikto, a longer robe.

Love the gunslinger Droid. Can't wait to see it completed.

A quick update, many of them are still work in progress:
-First up is a Hobbit Jedi. He needs to be repainted and have the glue around his boot top tidied up,
-Next is a hired gun, need to neaten up the armour paint, and add his accessories
- A Barabel Jedi & an Aqualish civilian. Barabel needs work on the joints and paint work, the Aqualish is pretty much done. I always fancied making a character dressed for cold weather that wasn't any form of trooper.
- An intelligence agent and a very showy Rodian lounge lizard. Both are in need of further paint apps.

A few more:
-An older custom of a hired gun, he needs better paint and weathering, and my droid gunslinger, now with bonus hands!!!  :P
Decided to use Rex hands as they have the cool swivel joints.
- This was going to be a custom Khem Val, but I messed up the head a bit, so he's now just some sort of enhanced slave/ brute.
- custom Jedi I designed for a comic, which I'll be putting up soon in the creative topic, and a very early stage Viking figure
- a padawan from the same comic, his design as one of the most radical clothing changes (much more 80's serial sci-fi design now) and a very early start on a custom Ithorian, he's getting a LOT more done to him.

Another shot of the padawan, and his sister. Her design hasn't changed too much in the transition to comic. They both need a set of horns added as they are human/zabrak mixed race.
Finally a twi'lek padawan and a work in progress mechanic. Both still need most of their outfits painted and weathered.
Hope you all have a great holiday weekend!!!

Barmic, I'm a newbie too. I love what you did with the green lantern figure. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the kind words. The Green lantern guy is my first screw up that I managed to fix up in some way. One side of his head is a bit flat where I cut the ears off, and the green stuff I used to effect repair didn't really take.
The tubing is just speaker wire officers glued down, and the 'sockets' on him are from the x-men build a figure that I've cut to pieces to use for a large scale figure I'm doing.

I'll be working on finishing up some of these in the near future, as well as a few other projects I've not yet shown. Very excited to reveal them when they're done.
