This is so beautiful! An amazing job on the construction of those guns! Can you give us a run down on what you used for fodder to build these. I know you have used wood, styrene and model bits for the huge base but what about those guns? Thanks for the update! Most impressive!
Thanks Mr. Spry. I'll do the best I can at remembering what was used. The base of the guns are something I found in the electrical department at Home Depot and I don't know what they are called. The barrels to the guns themselves are various PVC tubes and parts. The muzzles are from some sort of spacecraft model kit. The rest of it is just bits and pieces of sheet styrene and styrene doodads. Here are a couple of images before they were painted to see the parts a little more clearly. Sorry about the size as I can't find the original photos on my computer right now.
The base of the gun was made from an electrical breaker. Looks to be a skinny one at that. These are snap in "Square D" breakers. It looks like the barrel of the gun was made from some PVC sink fittings.
Call me a dork, but I worked in the hardware/lumber business for 13 years. I love figuring out what people use to make dioramas!! This turbo laser is just amazing!!
Are the Cantina pics still up? There are several pictures on page 1 and 2 that don't come up when I view those pages.
