So I decided to play around with a little sculpting.  This is my very first attempt at a real head sculpt using clay (then baked and painted).  I have never done a head sculpt ever, just adding apoxie here and there on existing heads.
I've always wanted to try doing a from scratch head sculpt, but was always hesitant, because I felt I wasn't "there" yet in my sculpting abilities.  anyway, for a first time out, I think he actually came out pretty darn decent.

Head sculpt of a battle scarred orc:

That's my first "real" attempt at a from scratch face sculpt.  When I was young, I played around with play dough, but I wouldn't call what I did real recognizable faces (lol).

Other than when I was young, everything I've done now has been adding epoxie to existing figure heads...but nothing from scratch.

Well after that I would say you definitely have a good future in making head sculpts. Maybe its time to invest in some casting supplies so you can keep your originals and make some deniro off your molds!

Thanks.

What prompted me to do that head, was that earlier this week, I was searching through the web just generally looking for painting/sculpting tips, and came across these guys, and was blown away by their work.

So, the guy that bought the female mandalorian asked me if I would make another one so that I can ship them out together.

So, here goes the male counterpart for my custom female mando.  I love the duo.  As much as I hate to part with them, I enjoyed making them and am glad that someone else could enjoy them.
