Today I've started a new 1/18 "behind the scenes" diorama.  After the '76 ILM MODELSHOP diorama which I've finished
 some weeks ago (http://maxx-replicas.jimdo.com/projekte-2011-2014/76-ilm-modelshop/), this time I try to do something
from EP V  ;)

Part 1: the Panavision R200 with tripod

And here's the next camera: A Vistavion Reflex Camera. This camera is unique and
was especially developed and built for the Hoth stop-motion shots in EP V
(upper right picture: Dennis Muren at work... ;))

I don't know where my comments went for the first image, but I did get that one on the front page. That is twice this week my comments have disappeared.

Most impressive indeed. And you make all these cameras from scratch using styrene/plasticard? Awesome work, man.


Also took a quick look at your B-Wing conversion. Love the attention to detail already on the panels on the fuselage.

You know, what is cool about the shipyards is how often you will see something that someone here has created and think "that's the coolest thing I have ever seen"

Yes, all the filming equipment is scratch built - no 3D printing  ;)
